I wonder if they could re-shell it so it would be a generic jet and not specifically a F-14 Tomcat?
Get them to make another Top Gun movie but with all the jets colored in wacky neon colors in the movie. Call it something like "Top Gun: The Next Generation" so they could get away with all the wacky colors being considered a Generation 2 homage.

This is a great toy. Probably the best commander they've put out so far, though I feel that his proportions are a bit too refrigerator-like and his hands suck. Tried to break up the colors a bit more as well but paint budget's nothing new. Painted in the correct eye color and some spots of gunmetal and metallic blue to help draw attention to key points and of course, the treads needed some help. Added some of the details the original toy had, though I'm undecided if I want to go full toy deco on the feet. Trying to match this particular shade of gold was a pain but I think I did alright. Considering painting his gray chest rectangles red, accuracy be damned, but it seems to be a chip-prone area.

And I was assuming that such a cartoon would have used the LA voice talent pool rather than outsource to Vancouver.

The battle damaged Ironhide would have been great for this ngl.
Love the colors but the mold is iffy. While Dreadwing holds together better than the reviews I've seen of Skyquake, there are lots of weird little design choices on this guy. There's not a lot of clearance for the wings, leading to having to rotate the waist 90 degrees just to swing them to the opposite side and there's some awkwardness with the nosecone/shoulderpad assembly. The elbows are constructed differently from each other and the waist never really locks together either. The gun causes the plane mode to sit unevenly when attached as prescribed and slotting the sword into it feels like it wasn't thought out all that well. It just kind of wedges in there, never really locking in. Sword can also only be held in the left hand because of a ridge on the handle that doesn't appear to serve any purpose. There's lightpiping built into the head but it just doesn't work. There are also noticeably less paint applications than Skyquake. Not terrible, but I don't think it's worth full price.
