Classics Mirage is the lone survivor of the Classics line on my shelf. Everyone else got replaced eventually but Classic Mirage has yet to be topped IMO.

Jetfire for me. That Classics mold was so great!
At the Beast Wars screening tonight, everyone there was given the Early Bird registration pin for free since the screening was cancelled last minute, due to a combination of a failure with the equipment and Alec Willows having a personal issue at the airport that he needed to take care of, which prevented him from coming tonight to provide commentary for the screening.
Jetfire, along with Ramjet, were the first two figures I bought that got me back into Transformers way back in the fall of '07.
I remember the TRU I was at just having dozens of Jetfire in particular. They were stacked all over the place!

I loved Classics Jetfire, but I broke down and replaced him with the Jetfire from the SDCC Revolutions set, basically the Generations Leader without the chrome.
Classics Jetfire is good, but there's just something about that Leader mould that just hits right for what I want out of Jetfire.

Tank Unicron is a bonkers idea that works because of his backstory. Wasn't it that some small part of Unicron survived his destruction at the end of Energon, so he was regular Transformer sized, and he had to basically CONSUME to get big again?
I like to think of him more as a Avatar, a powerful dark god, would still need a backup plan for should something go wrong with the main body or at least to be able to inspect it after consuming whatever number of planets & moons, for we know, it could of been the first thing Unicron created after getting imprisoned in the asterorid and used it as a means to aid the shaping of the main body, but unlike Primus who gave life to his creations, this body is just an extention of his power as evil cannot create anything new, they can only corrupt and ruin what good forces have invented or made
I still think of him as the Devourist Priest from Insecticomics.
I feel like that Selects Artfire was an under appreciated figure.
I also wanted one more repaint from that mold. Light blue for Cybertron Mudflap.

This was a very exciting toyline at the time, with its new combiners, repaints of older toys I didn't own, sub-factions, and all the different sizes. I never got around to buying a Sky-Byte (I had originally bought BW TM Cybershark as a stand-in), so that's a big hole in my RiD collection.
