The thing about the quote for the third pic is that it works for either character.
Megatron says it to Sentinel at the end of Megatron Origins but as Brainstorm pointed out to Megs on the Lost Light Sentinel and Megatron were (back then anyway) far closer than Megs wanted to admit.

So like, what's the context of that whole Megatron-arm thing in Skybound? It seems like something the crowd I'd expect to be sticking with the comics to find extremely silly, but people seem pretty hyped about it, so I'm curious about how they managed to sell it.

I don't know if they "sold" the arm thing specifically, but Skybound's run as a whole has just been really well written, so it works in context of the story being told.

Golly gee willikers, that sure would be a nice thing to know, not like I asked about that, specifically, within the first sentence of my post.

Well, its too bad there isn't an internet archive of transformers knowledge that one could just look up at their leisure. Like some kind of online encyclopedia. Yep. Too bad that's purely in the realm of fiction.

Sorry? I answered why the comic reading portion of the fandom was ok with it and that part slipped my mind. Hardly worth getting angry about.

The context is that Megatron went missing when the Ark crashed on Earth, with only his arm left in the wreckage. Meanwhile Optimus lost an arm in a fight with Skywarp. So Ratchet bolted Megs' arm onto him.

Hope that helps, now have a Snickers ffs.

The cliff(jumper)s notes, not super spoilery, version of the comics is: Energon is what keeps the Cybertronians going, and there's not a lot of it readily available. Teletran can reassemble them seemingly from random spare parts, but requires Energon to do so. Ratchet can also reassemble his comrades, but maybe not quite as completely as Teletran, and also requires Energon to keep them going. So, yeah, at one point Optimus has to graft Megatron's arm on to keep fighting. It's a ridiculously over-the-top moment and feels like that G2 comic cover, and you can almost literally hear The Touch in the background (or was that the bit where they actually DID print the lyrics in the background? I might need to re-read this run).

IDK, the action in this comic kinda feels like they embraced the Bayhem from the movies, but grafted onto a G1 body, if that makes sense?

Action? Sure, but I feel like Skybound had managed more heart and successful character moments in twelve issues then Bay managed in five feature films.
