The showrunner is always trying to get Scott to come, but Scott doesn't have much interest. Articles I recall from before the series started had Bacula not liking that if he showed up he'd be a minor character, not playing a major role. Which I think is/was the right thing for the series to allow it to establish its own tone and voice. Maybe future seasons (3 and beyond if they exist) might have room for him to have a bigger part (espically since its part of Magic's story) but it sounds like season 2 is gonna be focused some on letting the other characters grow now that Ben and Addison's love story is concluded.
