Just too damn busy these days. Between work, home life and hobbies/creative work, it feels like I haven't really had time for fandoms and social stuff.

I know that feeling. But I've found that completely neglecting my own health frees up a surprising amount of time.
Honestly, I don't miss most of it. Maybe it's just being jaded, but fandom discussion is just dead to me. My patience and appetite for listening to nerds complain about the things they claim to enjoy is just nil. just don't have the emotional energy to process it anymore.
Like, do I try and explain why I like Earthrise Arcee despite the flaws or do I add another paragraph to my novel?
It's kind of a no-brainer.
I do miss the people though. There's a lot of people I've not interacted with in a while that I miss talking to, but it's just a matter of not having as much time for online stuff.

This whole forum is on life-support since losing all its data twice tbh. I mean okay maybe that's a bit harsh but I don't think it's wrong to say that they're a lot slower than they used to be.
I still can't believe they didn't have backups for the board like having backups is literally data preservation 101.
TBH, I go elsewhere for non-TF stuff and my interest in transformers has never been as low as now.
I just don't have the energy for fandoms anymore. It's exhausting to write up a post about enjoying something, only to have people come out of the woodwork to talk down about it or throw out insults or whatever without even attempting to engage in actual discussion. Everything is an argument and it's just not worth it.
Combine that with most of Mayhem's regulars either ditching the boards entirely or going over to just Discord, and the forum's kinda dead.
