Robosen Optims Prime Flagship - Failed Battery?

Has anyone had any battery issues with the Robosen Optimus Prime (flagship)?
I purchased it new from Hasbro when it was limited edition and only used it once or twice. With a toddler and moving it didn't get busted out a lot but recently I did to get it back out on display. But, unfortunately it appears the battery is toast. It likely wasn't powered up in 2+ years. It will turn on when plugged in but instantly dead and wont turn on when not. I tried leaving it on the charger over night but it wont take any juice. One thing I noticed is the charging cable LED is always green, but looking online it says it should be red and then green. So maybe that is defective? That would be nice over a failed battery.

Any experiences or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You'd probably be best served contacting Robosen directly. I wouldn't want to mess with anything that complex or expensive.

Not that this is particularly helpful, but I had something similar happen with my jumpstart battery pack; I left it in my car for about a year (the instructions did specifically say to charge it every three months, so this one is completely my fault) and now it won't take a charge. If I plug it it, the "maintaining charge" light comes on, so the circuitry is seeing the battery as full, but once it's unplugged it's deader than the proverbial doornail.

Hi there. I recently experienced the same issue with my flagship Optimus Prime I purchased in 2021. Used it a few times then put away in its original packaging and shipping box. Kept it safe inside my home so it’s been placed in a well temperatures area. I just decided to take it out last night and use it again since I wanted to use it with the Auto Converting trailer I purchased in 2022. Mind you, I just opened that lat night as well and that works straight out of the box. It’s been in its original box and packaging sealed for 2 years. lol. Anyway, I wanted to have the full Optimus Prime experience and couldn’t. Did anyone find any solution to this problem? I’ve reached out to Robosen this morning but no response yet.
