Yes, there are some difference, it looks to be toy based vs animaton based.

Kaskade and Javelin look nice, and they're really weird deep cuts. But the most weird thing is how Javelin is the Movie Arcee toy retooled. I thought we had always been told that they couldn't (or at least wouldn't as they have to pay Paramount a royalty) movie toys for anything else. Weird.

That was more of a limitation placed on Fun Pub than Hasbro proper. But there may also be a loophole with the Bumblebee Movie Cybertronian molds since they only ever had robot modes designed for the film; for the altmodes, Hasbro was given the full creative freedom to make them up completely, suggesting that the Paramount does not own the designs for those molds' altmodes.

It's also possible that the robot mode was retooled extensively enough to distinguish from the likeness of Bumblebee Movie Arcee's robot mode design.

For all intents and purposes, Hasbro has largely “given up” marketing the kids stuff at these sorts of events. A majority of collectors either don’t notice, don’t care, or complain about that segment’s inclusion.

You know, I just realized. It seems like the point when Hasbro stopped promoting the TV-cartoon-supported lines at events like this, was when the Fun Pub era of BotCon ended.
