Star Trek Lower Decks

Saw God's and Angles too. I didn't see the twist until after the accusation so I was late on that, haha

I'm miffed that the new person cuz, well, T'Lyn is still around and she's the new girl, haha. But God lady should be OK.

Loved the giant laser fights! It looked epic and cool!

Can't believe there's 4 eps left! This ep didn't even have anything on the space fissures so if God lady doesn't come back, this ep is filler.

Edit - oh, Boimler's nickname is ugh. It doesn't have to be a swear word.

Beard is... going well.

Saw the 7th Fully Dilated.

There were a TON of references! A TON!

But references I don't get are... why that color? Was there an ep with a color correction problem?

And what's Micheladas? That has to be a reference.

Great ep but, well, would Tendi really be that insecure? She's been sensitive before but with T'Lyn? That's a bit odd to me.

Three eps left, gosh dang it!

That episode was a great example of what I absolutely hate about Lower Decks.

Boimler and Rutherford were ******* around, doing stupid jive in direct violation of posted rules, solving it in an even dumber way and stranded the Away Team for weeks (if not years). This shocking display of unprofessionalism that likely would get you dishonorably discharged HERE IN 2022 was met with absolutely zero onscreen consequences. Stupid sitcom bullshit they wanted (and is! as a result) as canon in the 24th Century.

Maybe there were consequences? Like Boimler and Rutherford not being allowed to even meet Purple Data? That would kill them inside, haha

My jaw kinda dropped a bit at this reference (hahahaha!). If they were doing stuff like this, Tendi's melon comparison would have been some sort of reference too.

I do agree with this. Like they could have came up with another way for the transporters to fail.

Yeah, the episode is great if you remove the stupidity of Boimler and Rutherford. You could have had literally any other reason for them to hug up and panic, and still have the same idea without going to absolute stupidest route.

The funny thing is I’m actually in 4044 but the “4”selection on my holoboard is misaligned with the “2” number matrix.

Oh. It seems to have fixed itself…

I won't be able to see the new ep until I get back from my trip to Japan. I attended the Tokyo Comic Con 2024. I was originally to go as a Hogwarts student with a friend but he backed out so I went as a Lower Decker.

Met some Japanese Trekkies but only me and another guy represented Lower Decks.

But were actual Curros available?!!

Thought with the latest episode Mariner got a little TOO meta.

I didn't eat any. The moopsy already ate my bones, arghargh. Hehe

I only got back from my trip and got to watch the Upper Decks ep. It wasn't as good as the Wej Duj other alien Lower Deckers.

I think I enjoyed Shax's creepy demons bit the most because he was solo. Everyone else practically had a lower decker (?) to interact with.

T'ana had Westlake (he so sassy. Not George Takai?). Carol Freeman had Steve Stevenson with her (I only remember his name from T'illups combining him with Matt the Whale, I want a fish). Ransom had the other shifters. Billups had... lady with accent.

I think I might have liked it better if I saw all of them work together as an efficient machine on a side mission. Split up, only Shax and Freeman did well. T'ana was tied up. Billups was too (accent lady got the focus). Ransom was wasted.

Also, not a bad thing but, wow, creepy and gory.

Edit - I secretly kind wanted to see Billups do something action hero-y and Ransom do something technical, to show new character sides.
