Also if you didn't realize, Lwaxana was played by Majel Barrett, same actor as TOS's Number One, Nurse Chapel, and the voice of the computer up through Voyager.

How does she still look so good!

I think she was also Gene Roddenberry’s wife.

That season 2 three parter was great. It shows what DS9 can be even without their eventual iconic antagonists. Those episodes and the Season one episode Duet.
Duet was amazing! That guy breaking down after they figured out he was innocent was a well done transition from aggressive to vulnerable. And that ending! That was a great episode!

The three parter had a lot in it and a major arc for Kira. Her orb vision, with probable naked time with the spiritual leader, came out of nowhere tho, haha.

Oh and Vedek Winn is a beeeeeach, since her first ep. Also, it that Skeletor actor playing the Circle leader. Why wasn't he credited?

According to Memory Alpha:
(Frank Langella) went uncredited in all of his appearances as he did not want to seem to be doing it for the exposure or money, as guest stars can sometimes seem.

Oh yeah, Duet is a great episode and really well acted from both of them. Its in my top 5 Star Trek Episodes of all time.

1. Family
2. The Visitor
3. In the pale Moon light
4. Inner Light
5. The Duet

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT google #2 and #3, as they are forth coming in DS9 and you don't want to spoil them.

As for Vedek Winn, she is referred to as Space Karen, and the actress does a great job making you hate her character. She is a recurring character through out the series.

Top 5 of all the star trek series? What series are the other eps from? I won't Google and get spoiled.

I'm pretty sure Inner Light is a Next Gen ep that I keep hearing about. Um, it's either the time lapse ep (which is a scifi trope I've seen comics and others) or that five or four lights thing (which is a trial or something)?

I finished s2 ep10 Sanctuary, with the farmer race who wanted to settle on Bajor. The name Dominion was brought up again. I'm going to assume that the arc villain? But other than the Cardassian vs Bajor stuff, there's no ongoing plot happening. Anyhow, hope the Skreans farmers get an update and show that they're prospering. Also an update on the female Ferengi Pel who was in love with Quark, haha.

Ep8 with Odo vs Kira was cool, showing how Odo first met Kira and Quark. Sooooo... what was that Carsassion neck twist? Haha

You are thinking of a different episode called Chain of Command. Don't get me wrong, that TNG two parter is a great one, but not as good as Inner Light.

They never really show what the Cardassian neck trick is, only reference it.

The Dominion will be mentioned again.

Here is my top 10:
1. Family - Its the TNG episode right after the Best of Both Worlds 2 parter. Its where Picard goes home and debates what to do with his life. Worf's adoptive parents come to the Enterprise while it is getting repaired, and Beverly shows her son a message that Jack recorded for him when he was a little kid. It is a great character building episode and shows off Patrick Stewart's acting prowess. Highly recommend that you check that episode out even if you have seen it before.

2. The Visitor - future Ds9 episode
3. In the pale Moon light - future Ds9 episode

4. Inner Light - An alien probe makes Picard spend an entire life time on a now dead world so he can experience their culture. He lives 80 years with a large family in an hour before finally learning that the civilization knew their star was going nova and sent the probe to find someone to carry on their culture. Picard wakes up after this life time back on the bridge again. This episode also star's Patrick Stewart's son as Picard's son.

5. The Duet - Amazing epsiode. Kira and her prisoner go back and forth and the episode is jus so masterfully done with an amazing plot twist.

6. City of the edge of forever - TOS episode where Kirk and Spock have to go back and stop a sick Bones from changing the past.

7. Balance of Terror - TOS episode where the Romulans are first revealed. Great submarine episode.

8. Amok Time - Classic TOS episode with the best Spock reaction at the end.

9. Chain of Command - The four lights episode that you mentioned early.

10. Best of both worlds - This was the TNG episode that shocked and defined the term cliffhanger for my generation.

The greatest Star Trek episode of all time, with the the most beautiful guest appearance by a female is hands down:

And that’s the bottom line. Joan Collins was absolutely stunning in this episode. Collins has always been known as a cougar but for some reason she looks so soft and refined in this episode. Perhaps she lost weight for this role, or maybe it’s the wig and the way she is made up. But she’s mostly a villain, tough, strong women character in everything else I’ve seen her in. She really must have loved this script and stepped up her game for this role, probably her best performance of all time in my opinion because she usually plays antagonistic, unlikeable female characters. This episode was truly an anomaly, a departure for her. I don’t know how they made her look like that.

The episode received widespread critical acclaim and has been frequently stated to be the best episode of the entire Star Trek franchise. Elements such as the tragic ending were highlighted by several reviewers. It won several awards, including the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Episodic Drama on Television (Ellison, 1967) and the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation (Ellison and Pevney, 1968).

No other crew could play this fast and loose:

The original crew characters were bigger than the show itself.

First of all, every Star Trek actor does the Convention circuit. Its good easy money, in front of thousands of happy devoted fans, where you get to travel all across the globe.

Second, he did leave the show, but it was due to the writers and directors intentionally trying to sabotage his work schedule to keep him off other projects as well as the abuse of his parents that forced him into acting in the first place.

He had a big geek following online, and then that kind of exploded about 15 years ago when he started doing episodes of the Big Bang Theory, D&D shows, and more. He has pretty much been the Star Tek ambassador since it started up again with CBS All Access. Hosting a behind the scenes show called The Ready Room for every single episode of Discovery, Strange New Worlds, Picard, and Lower Decks. It is on Paramount Plus, and it usually is worth the watch, especially if you are watching the series week to week. .
Thank you for putting to words my disbelief (my “You’re kidding?” post) into words.

The truth about Wil Weaton:

First he smears his parents, then he smears the studio, and then he goes after William Shatner:

Who’s left? Who’s next? Wheaton, and the entire Nex Gen crew who commiserate with him against Shatner, must be stopped, no matter the cost:

Yeah, I couldn't get through that guy's video. I will say this, aside from Nimoy, none of the TOS cast liked Shatner, where as the TNG cast all love Wheaton. So if Wheaton said Shatner was rude to him back in the TNG days, he probably was, but I honestly don't care. Its not like they interested that much. Shatner could have been having a bad day, or maybe Wheaton said something as a teenager to him. I honestly don't care.

Yeah, I've also heard things multiple times to the effect that Shatner-the-man(as opposed to Shatner-as-Kirk) was a bit of a butt. He even blew up at a simple ping from Star Trek Online regarding a fan, then when they tried to compliment him, just blocked them. (Whereas Patrick Stewart, who was also pinged, just didn't engage, which would have been a far more polite approach if he didn't want to do it)

The Next Generations of Star Trek need to respect the Orignal Series. They are the beneficiaries.

The Next Generation cannot be talking down to and being rude to the Original Crew like LaForge was toward Scottie.

And Wil Wheaton should not be badmouthing William Shatner and recording it in his memoirs for all to see, over such a minor incident.

This reminds me of all the new generation of Star Wars fans beating up on Mark Hamill for wanting him, Carrie, Harrison, and Billy Dee to be featured more prominently in the new Star Wars sequels.

I have one more movie before the Kelvin Trilogy.

I actually saw First Contact - Nemesis in the theater. Also Undiscovered Country.

Next is Star Trek X Nemesis the final Picard movie.

Star Wars Episodes VII - IX

I've always felt that Star Wars was a generational thing. 3 trilogies.

Episodes I - III

Anakin and Padme

Episodes IV - VI

Luke , Leia , Han and Lando

Episodes VII - IX

Rey , Finn and Poe

Maybe it's best to let each Trilogy be it's own thing.

So regardless of the attempt , Disney told the story of the next Generation after the destruction of the 2nd Death Star.

The 3rd Trilogy would be a new chapter in the Star Wars saga.

If we do get Episodes X - XII they need to stand on their own.
