If they wanna have clear plastic windows, use a clear plastic insert and keep the rest of the piece made of opaque plastic. I don't care how many additional cents per toy it costs Hasbro to do this tbh, the amount of money that the massive corporation has to spend per toy they manufacture is not really of any concern to me.

And this is when we start paying $50+ for Deluxe figures

That's just gonna happen in 10 years anyway with the way Hasbro's price increases are

Took a look at my Ironhide. I’d recommend filing or sanding down the tabs on the roof that connect into the windshield part and the tabs on the side windows that attach to his forearms in vehicle mode. The roof/shin parts undergo a lot of tension in vehicle mode and take an uncomfortable amount of force to attach/detach. I’d already done this but forgot apparently. This does result in a tendency to form a gap towards the front but it beats breaking.

I won’t lie: clear plastic looks way better. At the new smaller scale though with more involved transformations, it’s a disaster waiting to happen.

That said, if they do painted windows, pick a color that doesn’t look like crap

Agreed. I, too, prefer translucent windows where possible/practical, but wish "allspark blue" wasn't their go-to for painted.

Some are wishing that Hasbro did go with blue for SS86 Bumblebee's windows instead of the toy-accurate black they went with.

They've seemingly learnt not to use cr@pple-damage paint on figures that don't need it.
Because it made it better, or because it would use fewer paint apps, and is therefore cheaper?

Just because our goals may align does not mean that their motives are necessarily good ones.

Hopefully because they realised it wasn't a wanted thing. I'm sure some bought them regardless, but also others didn't like them and didn't buy products because of it. Regardless, I doubt it was missed when they removed it.
