I don't really care about the Matrix or energon axe or any of that cartoon stuff. They just seem weird in this context. I pre-ordered it today. I hadn't realized it's not being released until next May!
It's so awkward yet so beautiful at the same time.
I'm wondering why they changed that part at all.
Probably needed more plastic for structural integrity when they added all those joints.
That toy looks so cool!
Not feeling Optimus, but I'm looking forward to what else they come up with in this line.
It'll never look better than this. There's only so many G1 molds that already have joints in all the right places. They were able to add articulation here without making it look weird in a static G1 pose.
I want them to try anyway though. I am willing to forgive subsequent releases not living up to this one. But that's how it'll be, if any more happen at all.

Give us a Soundwave in this line dammit, he's already among the more articulated G1 toys.
I'd love Soundwave! Still my favorite 'con. Rodimus Prime also would be a possibility. He looks like he was supposed to have knees anyway. They really need to fix is face though if they do him.
I will forget all about the Commander if we get a Missing Link Ultra Magnus. It would be a very difficult design to pull off, but they could charge a lot for it and I wouldn't complain.
Megatron would be a complete disaster which is why I want it- no, need it- to happen
Megatron would be a hard sell with his gun mode. Maybe Galvatron? Just advertise the cannon mode and quietly ignore the pistol mode.
Part of me feels that with this being a Takara initiated line, they won't care about that and just give him his gun mode if they did one.
On the other hand, I also feel they wouldn't want to cut off official distribution through Hasbro so they'd probably not do a Megatron.
