Look, there's a reason this playbook worked so well with Hitler back in the day. The human condition doesn't change. People want the nice things in life. A place to call their own. The chance to have a family. To not have to work themselves to death. Time to enjoy life, maybe take a holiday or two.
And, as has been pointed out, those of us in our 40s and 50s have been sold this dream only to watch any hope of it ripped away by greed and apathy. I firmly believe this (aside from racism and misogyny) is why Kamala lost. You cannot sit there with a straight face and tell us everything is great, the economy is fine when we can barely afford a tank of ******* gas.
Meanwhile Trump peddles asinine answers catering to the simplest of people. Of course they ******* bought in.
