There's new Bluey shorts on Disney plus.

Tattoo - impossible

Phoney - he overstayed his welcome

The blocks - I actually don't get why grannies are Nana but I've never heard of Bobba from grandads before

Government - Bandit is too strong. Also loved it.

That drum thing - another impossible thing

Mr Browny Bear - want he Unicorse's lawyer before? Also, he switched hands at times. So did they trap work? Also Also, great reactions! Hehe

Whirlpool - is... is that possible? Like, for little kids?

Well, it's happening! Bluey is getting a theatrical movie!

...In 2027. So, we have some time to wait. No word on what the plot is. They probably want it to be a surprise. They've been talking about this for a while. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with.

That idea has been done lots of times, sorry. I have faith that Joe Brsomething will come up with something different.

Honestly, a lot of the eps have been about the parents with the kids. There hasn't been just a Bluey with her friends ep. Even Bingo gets more focus than Bluey sometimes.

I want to see Snickers again. And Pom. And a Rusty.

Though, yeah, I want to see more of Lucky's Dad acting dopey, haha.

I can imagine the Hollywood ized movie being them having an adventure during a vacation.

Something I'd like to see is a callback to all the super abilities Bluey and Bingo made before (heavy or light featherwand. Asparagus animal transfomer. Freeze xylophone. Dance mode. The puppet control Magic. Etc)

They already had a wedding. Maybe the big family event is Uncle Rad and Frisky are the ones having a baby?

The entire movie is just them trying to kill time and have fun while in the waiting room of a dentist's office for a hour and a half.

...I mean, if there's ANY show that could make something like that work, it'd probably be Bluey.

Aw man, I'm starvin'...guess I'm just going to have to eat one of the kids!

Bluey's getting a new breakfast cereal!

...Unfortunately, the actual cereal doesn't really look all that appetizing to me. It looks like they took some old Kix cereal they had in the back and barely bothered to dye it blue. It's not the most appetizing blue I've ever seen.

Luv that 'eating Bluey' short, haha.

From the articles I saw, Brumm the creator isn't going to be working on Bluey episodes anymore since he's focusing on the movie. I guess what we have would be the last of the original, real feel of Bluey.

He is going to have to age up the stories soon to keep up with the aging kids voices at this point. I mean the kids have already aged 5-6 years since the show started.

They could replace the VAs like they did on Amazing World of Gumball (but without the 4th wall breaking jokes about it).

Given the way the last season ended, I think we're likely to see a slight age-up of the cast. I could even see them splitting time between 3 different time periods. "Classic" Bluey, a more grade-school age Bluey, and a working adult Bluey. We'll have to see what they do, but I could see it.

Arthur replaced half its cast like three or four times*, and in most cases no one even noticed because, surprise, finding kids who can sound like other kids isn't hard. Unlike with adult voice actors, you're not stuck hiring only people who committed to making a full-time career out of it, of which there are only so many because there are only so many roles to go around and you need to juggle like 20 of them to make a living.

It is also the one case where one could argue it would be perfectly ethical to replace real human actors with AI. Child labor doesn't stop being child labor just because they're not choking on coal dust, and I've seen too many stories of former child actors not turning out so well. Case in point, I looked up the cast of Arthur just now and discovered that the Brain's second voice actor grew up to be the "change my mind" guy.

Side thing but could we recommend what we think are Bluey adjacent type media?

If yes, I'd recommend last year's Robot Dreams. It's another movie with no dialogue. Also a movie that would make you cry.
