Recently went to a local small town's Broom Corn festival. During the parade, my favorite float by far was a rare sighting of the World's Second Largest Broom (or at least, 2nd largest in 1972. It may have dropped a few ranks since then, with modern broom technology being what it is.)

Granted can't expect everyone to be knowledgeable on WWII era aircraft. If it wasn't for my love of the aesthetics of the P-38 Lightning, I might not have gotten it either.

The original charter as written granted from "Sea to Sea". They didn't actually know how big the country was, who else was there, or anything else, but they just established each one from coast to coast! The book "How the States Got Their Shapes", is a pretty fun read.
