Too soon.
It's been SEVENTEEN YEARS.
It will never not be too soon.
(Because at this point it's a running gag in the fandom.)
Spoiler warning for a seventeen year old movie, I guess. In the image that Paladin posted, you have Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk, who were both in the TV series Firefly and the wrap-up-the-plot movie sequel Serenity. Near the finale of Serenity, Tudyk's character, who is called Wash (shorted from his last name, Washburne), is abruptly killed when he is impaled by a harpoon that the Reavers (the bad guys) launch into the cockpit of the ship. Thus leading to the joke being told by Fillion in the image.
The joke stared circulating in fan circles shortly after the movie was released, and when it was posted there was inevitably a reply complaining that it was 'too soon'. Since then, making that reply to the joke as become a meme unto itself.
