Our dog died a few years ago. We buried her in the backyard and left one of her favorite toys, a JollyBall, on top of her grave as a marker of sorts. It didn't stay in one place or anything, but I never really had the heart to get rid of it, either.
A couple of days ago, we noticed it had been drug out from the corner where it had settled and was now in the center of the backyard. The next day, it was moved again. I pulled out an old trailcam that we had used during Covid to keep track of the various night-critters that frequented our backyard, and re-set it up. Turns out we have a new friend that enjoys Bean's old JollyBall.
