Looks like YouTube has changed their layout from comments below the video to comments to the right and video recommendations below. It is rather annoying.
It was like that for me a few weeks ago. Then, just as mysteriously, it changed back to the way that makes more sense.
A layout change that I'm currently having issue with is comments on shorts; they open in like a sub-window that won't scroll far enough to get the "comment" button fully on screen, making it impossible to make a non-reply comment that goes over one line on a short.
I'd rather youtube make the "stop recommending this channel" to actually work and stop throwing right wing nonsense into my feed. x.x;
I've only rarely ever seen the exact same channels I picked "stop recommending" come up anymore, but there sure doesn't seem to be any way to tell it "stop recommending things similar to this".
Or maybe their algorithms just suck at telling what is or isn't similar.
I mean they regularly put the fact-checking disclaimers on videos that
debunk conspiracy theories, and on anything that mentions vaccines or climate change in any context (including the climate millions of years ago in paleontology or geology videos).
