The problem is that like 90% of artists now post exclusively on X, including the ones who used to be regulars elsewhere. So on top of everything else, I'm convinced that site infects people with a mindvirus that makes them forget there's a rest-of-the-internet out there.
To be fair to the mind virus: there was a long period where functionally everyone had a twitter account. Sheer numbers meant it wasn't necessarily worth it to make the effort on other services.
Again, if you want people to see your stuff, you put your stuff where the people are already there to see it. Not in a place where people have to go out of their way to look for it.
