News round up! Target revealed a line of "Deluxe" class figures which are the Ultimates figures but pared down to minimum accessories and packaging for $35. First wave of Thundercats is the new mold Lion-O and Monkian.

I imagine this will be a good way to get the "updated" Tygra with the elbowpad (and hopefully less satirated colors) and Ghost Jaga out there.

Also today they revealed the box art for the Cat's Lair, which is still looking to make it into buyers' hands by the end of this year.

Ultimate figure without accessories and a lower price tag? Why has no one thought of this before? I may just have to add some more to my TC collection.

I need to specify, new mold Lion-O does not have the light up feature. Thats unique to the Ultimates one.

But I gotta admit, spending $35 instead of $55 to double dip/update Lion-O without a slew of accessories is fine by me.

Earlier this month Brian Flynn teased a new Thundercats line from Super7 and now we have it! Its a "Vintage" line that scales well with MOTU and TMNT but maintains a level to toon accuracy. First wave is Lion-O, MummRa and Jackalman. Theyre $30 amd seem to release in December.

I'd think the problem with doing that is they'd fit in with nothing else. While I was a bit bummed way back when Mattel first started using the MOTUC bucks for Thundercats, at this point it's established. That being said, S7 has revived O-rings for Joes, so if anyone was going to start doing "unreleased original" Thundercats figures, it'd be them.
