I voted based on what was best for my family. I can’t afford to take into account issues that don’t directly impact us. I did way too much of that in the past.

If you want to send threatening messages to me (as several have done this afternoon) or wish death upon me based on my choices, so be it. I’ve never spoken out against any of you or your choices and I never will.

And your vote literally threatened my life, so I'll say the same thing I said in that message. hug off, and it will be that last thing I'll ever say to you. hug off.

Trump has literally, LITERALLY vowed to make it impossible for trans people of any age to transition. Including adults.

On top of that your family WILL NOT BE better under Trump. For ***** sake read what literally any economist is saying will happen under his proposed tariffs. You have done nothing but make society worse, including the lives of your family, with your vote.

But I guess some people need to stick the fork in the socket to learn

Anyway, I'm done. I've made my position very clear. Reply or don't, I won't read it, and I don't want to. So just for that last word, as I said, hug off.

They gave the Rosenbergs the chair for less than Donald has openly admitted to doing.

If consequences actually existed for Republicans he'd be the picture in the dictionary next to the word "TRAITOR."

No, you didn't. A Trump presidency will be good for Trump, and maybe those at the top who kiss his ass the most, and everyone else will be left to fend for themselves, at best. The man has no idea how to govern, nor does he care, because everything he has ever done in his life has been solely for his own benefit. If anyone ended up better off in 2020 than they were in 2016, it was by accident.

People who are struggling to make ends meet and think Trump is the solution either don't understand the real causes of inflation, haven't noticed it's way down now, or both. Inflation rose globally due to the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, but it’s now at 2.4%, close to pre-covid levels.

But some people just want an excuse to vote for a fascist dictator who's aligned with them on social issues.

That's why abortion has to be banned: they want a new generation of homegrown serfs to do that work now, but they also have to keep us poor so we'll actually take those jobs.

After all, what's the point of being a billionaire unless you have a legion of wage slaves bowing and scraping to satisfy your whims?

Honestly, I've been avoiding even bringing up what Trump allegedly intends to do to "undesirables" because I still think whatever opinion he might have of minorities, immigrants, etc. takes a distant second to his own ego, the singular reason he wants to be President. If anyone's going to get mass deported or sent to concentration camps, it's just as likely he'll skip straight to rounding up everyone who doesn't like him. Starting with Biden, Harris, and every other Democrat currently in office, then the media, then employing Elon Musk to find everyone who's ever criticized him on what used to be Twitter.

I’m going to bow out of the Politics forum. I probably shouldn’t ever have come in here at all. This really isn’t a place for opposing viewpoints.
