******* stunning. This asshole is going to die having faced barely any consequences for all his crimes. Just unbe-*******-lievable.
When he leaves office; you mean in the body bag?His attorneys had already acknowledged that a lot of the stuff in the indictment was not official duties. The indictment was refreshed with almost everything intact and was going forward. He will squelch that one, but he'll be guilty again by the time he leaves office.
FWIW, I sort of feel the same. I still can't believe that The Powers That Be spent four years not putting Trump away behind bars for (at least) January 6th. I mean, I will admit that I lack understanding of the US federal law system beyond the most rudimentary level, but c'mon, he tried to overthrown the whole system of government! We spent four years dragging our feet about actually prosecuting him because we were so convinced he couldn't possibly ever be a threat again. History is going to remember the Biden administration the same way it remembers Neville Chamberlain. Assuming humanity survives long enough for there to be a history to remember them at all.
It takes time to build cases and in this case it probably takes a bit to build the courage. Indictments came out over a year ago and it was hard to believe when analysts said they might not be done in time. It takes forever, especially if the client knows how to game the schedule. Some of his litigation went all the way to the Supreme Court!FWIW, I sort of feel the same. Here’s my issue:I
I used to hope that he'd live a long life so he could spend an adequate amount of time in prison, but since that's obviously never going to happen I'll settle for him dropping dead from a health issue A.S.A.P.
