Yeah, it's a shared Walmart exclusive, so I wouldn't expect many other venues to carry it besides Pulse and Walmart.

I think my favourite of the old TF/SW that wasn’t the Death Star Vader, was the old Arc Trooper/Arc Fighter. Wish I still had them

The Cody/Turbo Tank looked pretty good too.
Cody was good because the helmet looked like a mecha, rather than a character pretending to be a robot. Unfortunately, the poseability was pants.

I never saw the jet, but I've seen the Wallop (which got clearanced to 25 at one Target). I saw Ectotron once, but it was the blister packaging. Beyond that, all have been online purchases for me.
Damn, that sounds like a good price for that one. I don't think I've even seen it in person here.

When the King of Atlantis summons you to his home, you are obligated to fulfill his demands no matter what toys go on sale at the time.

Yes, but he always just wants help getting "the Facebook" to work on his old desktop PC. It's not going to work, King of Atlantis. You're under water.

And weren't they designed by Hasbro's Star Wars team rather then their Transformers team?
Probably-- all I remember is that it was apparently not the main TF team. (And as has been said, no Takara involvement. TFs made strictly by Hasbro-- and ones made strictly by Takara(Tomy), are usually lesser in some way than the team effort approach.)

IMO they should've put experienced TF-designers on the case from Day One. TFing is hard enough, and then you have (gestures vaguely) those vehicle designs...

Not to beat a dead horse, but they were also hurt by the pricepoints, as a result of the "licensing tax" or whatever you want to call it. As regular retail, I think that hurt more than it does with the special-ness of Collaborative.

I figured as much. That basically Hamstrung like 90% of the SW/TF figures. With a few exceptions.

I think it really was the alt mode faithfulness, since the SW/TFs were always skewed towards ‘vehicle first’ that hurt them. I mean, there’s only so much you can do to squeeze a robot mode out of an X-Wing, a Jedi Starfighter (either version), or Fetts Slave 1.

I think it also depends on who designed them. I believe the original marvel/SW crossovers weren't designed by the regular TF team/department.
