I got the idea from a live performance of the 1812 Overture done with modern field artillery. Those who don't think "Tchaikovsky" counts as 'Macho Manly Music' has never heard a percussion section that has to be kept far enough away to not deafen or kill the audience.

I've been to one of those. It was epic.

You know that's going to happen now.

Nice! Mine still isn't, but that is okay. I can wait. I still haven't opened any of my SS86 Dinobots. I need to do a shelf cleaning and reorganizing.

Other people getting their orders filled before mine means I get to hear about any problems or issues with the toy before I pay for it. Thanks, beta testers!

I'm right there with you. Although, if I would have done that with the early people that received Tidal Wave, I might have been scared off from getting one of the best titans to date.

So the Nonnef kit arrived for Windsheer. Looks good, makes him different from Needlenose.
Tidal Wave is here too. Sure is big. Don't really have much else to say. Here he is with Nemesis. 2 ships, no waiting.

Eh, they're all okay. I don't really have much to say.

There's a lot of places they could improve over the Siege Megatron mold (like, not making it a H tank for one)
I bought ER Megs under this line of thinking and was disappointed

I would be *very* shocked if an SS86 Megatron is a warmed over remold.

SS86 Prime isn’t and I’d expect nothing less for Megatron.
I don't expect SS 86 Megatron to be a retool or remould of either Siege or ER Megs.

Of course that begs the question of what he could be, and the obvious line of "he can't be THAT thing he was in the movie... can he?"

I'm quite content with my Siege Megs as my definitive Megatron but I gotta see what they do for SS 86, if only out of curiosity.

I feel like the current team is capable of producing an '86 movie Megatron that is faithful to his robot mode. Personally though, I would welcome a non-transforming version. He could still be at the regular Leader pricepoint, but they could really focus on paint apps, articulation, and accessories. Of course he would have his fusion cannon, but he could also come packed with his laser pistol, a "mini-me" style P38 gun that others could wield, energy sword/knife, that shard of rock or whatever that he threw at (and impaled) Optimus with, his energy flail, and maybe some interchangeable battle damaged parts a la Masterpiece.

I realize that this may be highly unlikely, because you know, Transformers; it's kind of in the name. But I am not interested in yet another tank Megatron, and if we are going to have him released in a line that prioritizes on-screen appearance, it would make sense to have him be a solid, cool-looking, non-transforming robot.

That would be pretty epic! Although, I would be concerned about how they could pull off both characters in one and do it well. Maybe at the Commander level?

In my book it's not definitive until they do something with the front of the treads instead of just lazily dumping them on Megatron's back.

I think that we might be missing the obvious solution to our SS86 Megatron problem. SS86 Megatron doesn't turn into a gun. He turns into Galvatron.

I still think they should just turn Megatron into a weaponizer. They can't make him turn into a gun for people, but they can make him turn into a arsenal for his troops.
