it’s Optimus in a cheap Brave halloween costume. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world but nothing exceptional considering he’s got nothing special among Optimuses aside from connecting to dollar store Fighbird and a box in truck mode.

Since Takara doesn't get to make actual Brave toys anymore, I'd take it.

It would be fun to see all three Battlestars redesigned with a Brave style combination. I don't know what they'd do with Sky Garry, but it would be trivially easy to copy Dragon Kaiser's engineering on to Grandus.

It’s also one of the least popular series. Didn’t even get an OVA like Zone did. Solo star convoy might do well but tack the other two on and it’s gonna tank like the $400 lightsaber they were peddling.

Dear Hasblo.

Where's Monstructor or Dinoking from those Legacy Dinobots?

And on that note, where's Volcanicus feet?

Got Magmatron. Transformed Magmatron for the first time. Maybe someday I'll do it again. What a chore that ended up being.

I don't necessarily agree with this assessment but I love the way you put it.

I have virtually no interest in Dinoking from the Core Dinobots, and absolutely zero interest in a Monstructor from them. I have a fully intact Monstructor from my childhood. Always loved him, but was disappointed at how tiny he was. When he showed up in IDW as a full-sized combiner, that was the Monstructor I always wanted. And when that initial PotP Terrorcon reveal happened with the Wildfly head on Cutthroat, I was thrilled at the apparent indication that Monstructor was coming. A bit worried that Birdbrain would be left out, but otherwise that was exactly what I wanted. And it's still what I really want.

The Dinobots absolutely will not scratch that itch at all. If anything, the mere thought of it is making me really regret passing on the 3P Monstructor. And that's despite having gotten the Dinoking version of it on sale and not exactly loving it.

My dream Monstructor would be a Titan-class boxed set, as a six-part combiner standing the same height as the Combiner Wars teams. Maybe make the shells like Weaponizers, so they can build onto the individual beast modes or armor up the combiner, like the end of IDW1. It'll never happen, but I can dream.

They could blow up Legacy Volcanicus to voyager/leader class for it like some knock offs or Energon Megatron (Takara to Hasbro) or Prime Predacon Hunters Twinstrike.

I'll go over there now.

I really think Hasbro and Takara should have experimented more during the CW/PotP era with a combiner torso made up of 2 deluxes. Liokaiser, Monstructor, and Dinoking really need it, could have had a smaller Devastator that way, and could even have gone obscure and made Gaia Guardian.

According to the leaks, there's a new Devastator coming in... I can't remember if its Studio Series 86 or the successor line to Legacy, but it's made of Deluxes, Voyagers, and Leaders, so maybe Hasbro's finally found a way to crack the code for six-combiners with two-unit torsos that don't have to be Titan-sized.

There's also a deluxe Swindle with no universe designation listed alongside the Aerialbots. I've seen speculation that Nexus Prime might be made from retools/redecos of a mix of the Aerialbots and Combaticons like the TFCC toy, so that might be an indication of a new Bruticus coming the following year.

It does fulfill the military truck torso, two planes, a tank and a helicopter combination but the vehicles are different in practice and robot modes would be way off unless they devote a lot of retooling. Depends on how much fidelity they want on a relatively minor character at a cumulatively high price point.

If nothing else, I'd rather they gave Heatwave his own new mold since his original toy looked nothing like a mere head-swap redeco of G1 Onslaught.

Way I see it, Onslaught’s chest isn’t part of the vehicle mode so they could easily retool it into an approximation of Heatwave’s. I don’t think Heatwave would warrant an all-new mold since he only has fiction limited to defunct niche Botcon stuff and their Commander schedule’s already packed with Silverbolt in the Primes line and presumably Onslaught the next.
