Y'know that's probably why, as a beast wars kid, that aspect of the franchise has always been very low priority to meBeast Wars is top 3 all-time for me, but it ranks pretty poorly on the spectrum of "robots in diguises"

Interesting, I thought it was easily the least of the G1 Japan exclusives. It's a fun, weird thing where they basically made a tokusatsu based on Transformers, but I had trouble engaging with the show early on.
Victory was the one that one the really suprised me with how good it was.
Sari's case is basically like if a Maximal protoform scanned a human for their alt mode instead of an animal.I mean, honestly, the concept of a transformers with tissue making them look human just make me think of Sari Sumdac.
Speaking of which, she's kinda long overdue for a toy.
It took me several tries to get into Victory.
I watched and enjoyed it but it was definitely a slog at first.
I like tokusatsu, maybe that’s why I was so taken with Masterforce.
Victory got good, great even, by its second half. It was its first half, however, that felt rather run-of-the-mill. It's around when Liokaiser is formed for the first time that the show really takes off.
I believe that was my motivation for watching it, I wanted to see the season 3 cast in new adventures and I lost interest soon after they left, the second time I watched it was because of IDW's MTMTE and I wanted to see the headmasters animated even if they were different characters and it was enough for me to finish it.Headmasters runs on nostalgia alone. It was nice to see more adventures (boring though they were) with the characters we were attached to.
If you did the same show but with new characters it would be painful to watch.
