I'm not a fan of Quintesson's transforming, but hot damn that alt-mode looks fantastic in an alien organic way.
The disconnect between the toy and the art on the box is incredible. I wanna say it hasn't been that bad since Beast Machines, but there has to be something more recent.

(I'm ignoring One-Steps and such and focusing on altmodes, but maybe that's unfair.)

Not just the pattern-- Megatron is a remold of Overload.

Between that and the Botshots, I wonder what other older molds they'll dust off.

Kinda funny how Mirage has a Formula 1 front end slapped right in the middle of a more normal car front.
The. Target 3 pack are all remolds of existing toys:
Mirage came from RiD/Cyberverse Blurr, while both Megatron and Optimus Prime come from Cyberverse One steps

I know in the movie it's an actual Quintesson, but importing the figure into a G1-adjacent collection, I can see headcanoning it as one of their creations, similar to the Sharkticons or Transorganics. Like the Quintessons built themselves a fleet of biomechanical warships that also had robot modes.

Here's the link to our front page story. Thank you @CoffeeHorse!
The Quintesson High Commander is really cool. I know in my Gizmo-verse, I still use the Quintesson origin story for the Transformers and like the idea of having them be more than just Judges, Workers, Alicons, and Bailiffs (Sharkticons are Decepticons in my fiction). Having another type of Quint to add to the mix will be very welcome to me. Plus he's really cool looking.

Absolutely any other TFOne Optimus Prime gets to have a better grey than the Studio Series.

That Quintesson looks like something the Power Rangers would beat up.
Yes, but they're safe now, now that the Rangers have gone over to Playmates.

Just MMPR, not the whole brand.
It says Playmates is "debuting its first Power Rangers collection with a kid-targeted Mighty Morphin Power Rangers toy line..."

Sounds like MMPR is just the first thing out, and there could be other iterations.

Prior to the whole thing about the history of the brand itself, "Mighty Morphin" is only mentioned once. Every other time, it's "Power Rangers."

Well, "POWER RANGERS", but just the same...

Exactly. Nowhere in the press release does it ever say that Hasbro has sold away the entire Power Rangers brand over to Playmates.

They REALLY need to do something about that "Race Changers" subline name. Fortunately it seems to barely be on the packaging.
