So, I was walking through the toy aisles at a nearby Walmart (as one does), and they still have the cardboard 4-sided display up for ONE figures, and it occurred to me: the Prime Changers are pretty much the movie's main line, and we've only got 2 of the film's 4 main characters in it. Elita-1 and D-16/Megatron are completely absent. I know we are getting Studio Series figures soon, but it just strikes me as odd that they wouldn't have Prime Changer figures out close to the release of the movie.

Has any further Prime Changer releases been announced, or is that it?
By and large, Hasbro has stopped communicating details for their “kids lines” through collector channels. About the only time we know about new stuff is when a retail listing gets leaked or retailers put stuff up for order.

I seem to want to recall listings for, like, 6 or 7 figures early on, but my attempts of googling only came up with 5 (the Quintesson Commander ended up as “Platoon Commander” or something like, separate from the rest of the Prime Changer listings). I probably misread or mixed up some of the assorted “Changer” assortments.
Which would mean we’ve seen all there is. Unless the toys are doing a LOT better than the film, I don’t foresee another round of product for the spring.

I personally expected a Megatron and Starscream (derived from Sentinel Prime) to round out the little line, but I guess that doesn’t look like it’s happening…

I mean, soon is a relative term. I feel fairly confident in saying we're getting Studio Series Elita-1 sooner than, say, Studio Series Leader-1 or Cy-Kill, for instance (both of whom severely need screen-accurate updates, but seem bizarrely passed over by Hasbro...)

Aside from the rather grandiose title and some language use, this was pretty good:

Since SS Megatron has the wrong cannon and Optimus has garish colours, I'm hopeful for a premium set of Optimus and Megatron, maybe both blown up to Voyager class with more accuracy like Optimus axe being orange with a blue trim. The current two seem incomplete.

Giving both SS TFO Optimus and Megs premium paint jobs at the very least and sticking them in a VS pack might make for a cool exclusive.
Sadly with the film bombing at the box office Hasbro may decide it's not worth the effort.

I'd buy it though.

I wish they had just done Orion Pax and D-16 (post cogs) for the deluxes and then done Optimus and Megatron at voyager scale.
I'd have been in on that, but I think the fact that neither changes much was an issue. TFOne cog'd up Orion and D-16 don't look that much different from Optimus Prime and Megatron.
Sure, there are changes. And the official art from the film emphasizes that. Still, from the perspective of just looking at toys on the shelf as an average consumer, there may not be enough of a difference to entice two purchases each.

Honestly this whole line seems like a bit of a dud. Like they didn't have a whole lot of confidence in it so they're doing just the bare minimum.

It's bad when Hasbro themselves didn't seem to support TF:One. They knew the movie was coming out THIS year. So why not free up space in Studio Series (for the collectors) to get the core cast member / biggest names out THIS year? Just one or two waves dedicated to this movie?

Elita-1, BB, Orion Pax and D-16 (cog-less) wave 1 deluxes. Elita-1, BB (with cogs) and Airachnid (possibly Chromia) deluxes in wave 2.

Starscream, (Seeker repaints forever) Soundwave and Shockwave Voyagers spread out between 2 waves. (Sharing space with Dreadwing/Darkwing)

Sentinal Prime and Alpha Trion in Leader class for wave 1. Then Optimus Prime and Megatron Leader class in wave 2.

Yeah. Sure, SS is giving us Optimus and Megs from the movie, but B-127, Elita, and Sentinel aren't due out until May 2025! The "mainline" for the movie has had some excellent Deluxe-sized figures, but everything else seems easily skip-able.
I'm fine with more gimmick-laden "mainline" offerings, but the tradeoff for that was always "don't worry Generations and SS will pick up the slack" and here they really haven't.

Kinda hard to sell toys of the cogless 'bots in the proper Transformers: Studio Series line of transforming robot toys when the whole point of the cogless 'bots is that they can't transform. ;)

Powermaster style maybe? Cog has to be inserted in order to free up transforming restricting hook tabs that would otherwise keep the shoulders, head and torso from transforming.

But their cogless bodies are different designs and sizes from the cogged bodies. The cogs changed their bodies into new designs.

The perfect excuse to bring back Action Masters.
