We live in a capitalist dystopia

I'm in an at will state. I get it. But that doesn't remove your responsibilities to do the right thing. I've lost a hell of a lot, including jobs, because I did the right thing and the bosses got mad.
I'm sorry, you still do the right thing. Even when its hard.

AI, though. They're already planning to cut any employees with a conscience out of the process.

Something has gone seriously wrong with American political discourse when the word "populist" means "I support the billionaires".
Rich people play Pokémon but with corporations and housing instead of trading cards, and they pretend it's the same as having a job.
I actually don't doubt that for many MAGA drones, this is a fantasy. What better dream for a bootlicker than to be right there, licking the boots of the men he worships?

I'd take the "serve" option as long as I can tell them that I jizzed on their meals after they're done eating.

I haven’t, commented here yet. Or read anything, but of course the title of the thread, is certainly accurate, we are also entering a cyberpunk dystopia. Too bad it can’t be more hope punk. I feel bad that I grew up with so much dark cyberpunk and that it’s becoming. Real now. I want the advanced tech, BUt They just aren’t doing it in a way that’s really good for humanity.

The Venn Diagram of people who say "education is a poor indicator of intelligence" and people who think wealth is a good indicator of intelligence is a circle.

PS. A lot of the people who think wealth is a good indicator of intelligence refuse to admit it in those words. But if you want to know who they are, just ask them how brilliant Elon Musk is.

Wait, so is he saying getting a poor education actually stunts your raw intelligence, or that only unintelligent people will fail to get a good education regardless of the quality of the education system?

But he said that only a bad person who believes bad things would say education is a poor indicator of intelligence, which means he believes that it is.

Frankly I'm getting tired of getting drive-by-posted by someone who isn't even here.

. . . . no, he really didn't. I'm genuinely not sure where you've come up with that conclusion, but I am confused by your confusion.
As far as 'drive by postings', I don't mind them. They contribute to the discussion and often times bring more debate. This is a discussion board. More discussion is good.

You mock phrases like "trust the science", but what are we supposed to do? Explain it? To people who read at a 4th-grade level and post memes saying that they should stop teaching algebra in school?

There are people in this world who can do more than simply trust what scientific associations say. But if you're the sort of person who tunes out as soon as you see equations, you're not one of them.

There's no shame in trusting experts when something is above your pay grade. On the contrary, it indicates the virtues of humility and respect.
