To MTG: DO IT!!! Sure it's likely a half baked conspiracy theory with no evidence, but that's her bread and butter.

Plus, it's the Republican Party. You could pick any one member at random to launch an investigation into and even in the event it doesn't turn up proof that they're pedo scum (although I bet the majority of them are), you're bound to learn something damning. If one of them manages to kick off a chain reaction of politicians all investigating each other, the end result could be that no one comes out of it not looking horrible.

On the other hand, that could very easily have the opposite effect, where people realize this is just normal for Republicans and, faced with the possibility of becoming a one-party system run by the party they've been against their entire lives, R voters decide it's better to just find an excuse to accept it as the way things have to be, or even rewrite their internal moral system to say that being pedo scum is Good, Actually.

Don't count him in yet. Markwayne is one of my Senators and my Senators are generally all in for Trump. When the upper house tells the lower house what they want and the lower house says no, don't count on the upper house saying oh ok. These are the makings of a turf war. The Senate can call all the people the House Ethics Committee talked to.
