At the event (Sanrio?) had cute, chibi merch for sale. I saw most of the stickers and stuff (which some of the Japanese girls attending seemed to like) but I didn't see the 'transforming' bags or cuddly toys there. As with most of the event items, visitors can buy them online here.
There's also a 'cute' (or annoying) promotional video.

Dang. I was really hoping this would be a new Prime/Convoy-style character, rather than Optimus Prime in cosplay. Oh well.
Well, I'm imagining it as a new Maximal. He's officially got a new name after all. However, Takara DOES seem to just use Optimus/Megatron/Bumblebee/Starscream for their crossover/collaboration figures, which is a bit unimaginative of them.

Tessho Genda just has one of those voices that works for Convoy. I grew up with Peter Cullen's Optimus Prime, and Genda's Convoy still sounds right!

It's nice that they got him to play Alpha Trion in the Japanese dub of TF One.
Although I've mentioned that TF One seems to have a lack of promotion (to me) in Japan, Line (the most popular chat/VOIP call app in Japan and some other parts of Asia) has TF One digital "stickers" that you can add to chats. Below are some screenshots showing them, courtesy of Snakas.
It's actually possible, on Android, to extract the sticker images (you need to rename them as ".gif" or equivalent) files and there were even ways for anyone in the world to download the full set of any Line stickers for free (Google it).
I was given some legit TF Line stickers and I managed to extract them, such as the one below.
(That's why it has got a clear background, as I didn't need to screenshot it).

Amazon Japan might be selling these, with pre-orders possibly starting on the 9th of October 9, 2024.
This is interesting as Lockdown (a former US exclusive?) it's getting a mainstream release in Japan, whereas Mirage (which I assumed was already out in Japan by now) is getting a release (even though the cheaper KO was also already released)?
