Dr. Pepper overtook Pepsi as the #2 soda in America recently, and that reminded me of a comic I made a long time ago during a famous commercial set. Turned out I still had it. This dates from when I had only a very rough digital camera, so I used the only two bots that showed up well for it, and MS Paint for editing!

For the 40th anniversary, I'm taking photos of all my transformers. Here's G1. It's a small handful from childhood, a lot of second hand from collector stores or flea markers, with a few reissues as well. I only broke two of them for this photoshoot.

"Small handful"? You must have some pretty big hands, there. 😜
Haha! Well, the hands of me and my three older brothers. Mine were Skywarp, Goldbug, Fizzle, and the Emergency Micromasters. My brothers had Soundwave, Jazz, Sideswipe, the Constructicons, Ironhide, Inferno, and Grapple. Everything else is reissue or second hand.

I didn't start getting Beast Wars until late in it's first year, missing out on the original Tarantulas, Waspinator, Rhinox. Even then, I didn't start saving the box arts until later, which is why some like Blackarachina, Wolfang, and the Ultra Primal and Megs.

The reissues have helped me 'fill in' the missing art, which aren't included because we're in a binder, buried in the same spot since I moved in years ago.

Animated Prime’s pretty good as a figure but he could have been more. Like, his fists are attached via ball joints but get locked in place instead of benefitting from the articulation. The narrow hips and the way his feet attach also make standing him in action poses more awkward than it has to be. His axe is cool in concept but he lacks the articulation to wield it in cool poses. The ball joint wrists or butterfly shoulders would go a long way. Transformation has some great tricks to reduce kibble and is smooth overall. All yellow not the headlights are custom, as are the rims.
Recommended.

Decided to buy a Magnus. Articulation is decent but his bulkiness makes him look doofy if you do take full advantage of the jointing. Hasbro packaged the blast effects with the guns which melted some of the paint off the guns. I can fix it but i doubt most buyers could. Bad choice there Hasbro, at least wrap them in a different sheet of paper if you insist on making the accessories look at home in a garbage bin. Transformation is the MP but refined, pretty fun to change back and forth. Headlights and smokestacks are custom, guns are repainted but close enough to the actual product.
Recommended with caveats.

Magmatron’s pretty good but is hampered by his own design. Good articulation on paper but his parts get in the way of himself way too often and his accessories are masses of kibble. Can't really expect too much out of the shield but there was no reason to tack all of the giganotosaurus belly and crotch onto the sword. The giganotosaurus can’t open his mouth for crap which is the selling point of large theropods. Elasmosaurus neck is unwieldy in combined mode and not posable enough in beast mode, not to mention all the visible gaps. Quetzalcoatlus can't assume a decent non-flying pose and has weird bug eyes. The bendy sword sucks but I don’t mind it enough to buy a replacement. Crappy packaging strikes again with the blade being crazy warped out of the box, but a couple minutes with a hairdryer and a few more with my textbooks fixed that. The stupid blast effects are useless since there are barely any ports on Magmatron and he doesn’t have a gun or blaster. Transformation is relatively simple but very finicky. Have to push and swueeze stuff into just the right spot to get everything to fit just right. Skysaur claws and Magmatron fingernails custom painted.
Recommended with caveats.

The Sparkless Seeker always looked kind of army camo colored to me. Trying to think of something that suggests Army air support.

Been working on my new custom WfC seeker to give Hotlink a third member to his squad. I like all my seekers to be in squads of 3.

Now I just need to come up with names for Sparkless Seeker and my custom.

Wow. Those have so much greeble on them, a paint wash would probably turn them solid black.

As they are, they're looking good, though!

I would throw money if they made decals of the BW card art.
