will the nacelle reissue be mold-free this time
That’s probably my biggest “plus” to seeing Nacelle reissued: whatever mold/growth/reaction that afflicted the original will hopefully be resolved.

I don’t have any need for either, but I will never knock Hasbro for doing these sorts of reruns.

I think I posted before that I don’t use Nova Prime as “Nova Prime”. I use it as an evolution of sorts to the old Combiner Wars “Battle Core” Optimus Prime.
My fanon is that it is Optimus Prime when he leads a united Cybertron. The color set plays towards a neutrality from the assorted factions.

I'm tempted by Nova. Never had any real interest in him originally, but with a whole assortment of Primes incoming, I'm more inclined to give him a spot on the shelf.

So we'll now have the 13, Nova, Sentinel, Optimus, and Rodimus. That's everyone who has toys from the G1 lineage of Primes, right?

We are Prima
We are Prime Nova
We are Sentinel Prime
We are Optimus Prime
We are THUNDERWING

I'll be honest, in my brain "Prime Nova" as it is in original G1 is a different thing than Nova Prime. I just never liked how they normalized/boring-ized that name in IDW.

I would suggest that Thunderwing could REALLY use a new Commander Class toy. (Sadly those are probably doomed to be Combiner torsos for the next half dozen years or so)

-ZacWilliam, the fact that we havnt gotten newer better Thunderwing, Nightbeat, Siren and Hosehead is NUTS to me and suggests the team isn't as big on the later Marvel Comics as I wish they were.

Evan seems to be a fan of Masterforce, so there remains some hope for the likes of Hosehead and Siren (who could be redecoed from--or into--a Goshooter), at least.

Agreed 100% about wanting a new Thunderwing. I don't know if I really want him THAT big, but certainly more substantial than the old Deluxe. Can't say I'd count him among the Primes any more than I would Ultra Magnus, though.

You could get away with a Leader sized Marvel Comics style Thunderwing based just on his shell I admit. It's mostly the dream of keeping his toy inner-robot too that makes me want to push it to Commander.

-ZacWilliam, it's about the only case I can imagine Hasbro actually replicating the Pretender gimmick in a new toy. He's a large enough and important enough character and his shell was a full Transformer of its own.

POTP would have been a good time for a leader class Thunderwing given it's pretender theme but that toyline did everything backwards. Another possible one would be taking Titans Return Black Shadow and retooling him into Thunderwing.

I'm rather going for a pre-mold for a new, more accurate depiction of this character myself (that and I doubt this mold will be coming to Japan any time soon).

...and then, we can get the Japanese remold...

I think the WFC Leader gimmick could've worked quite well for Thunderwing. Have something akin to the Generations robot mode as a base, with extra bits to turn him into the Stormbringer ultra whatever mode (and change up the altmode too). Throw a Titan Master-ish inner robot in there maybe if you MUST have the multilayered Pretender bit, idk.

Probably wouldn't be HUGE huge, but eh. Just looking at Magnus and Shockwave it definitely seems doable at that price point. If he can hit Magnus' level of chonk it'd be fine.

I love Legacy Nova Prime. I was a fan of Nova Prime's design from the moment I saw him back in 2007. Finally getting a toy of his design was something else.
So glad he's getting a second run.

We still need a Zeta Prime. And I wouldn't mind a new Sentinel Prime; the last one is almost a decade old at this point.
Evan's talked about a Zeta from the SS GE Ironhide/Ratchet mould. I'd be down.

There were also rumours that they may repaint Siege Astrotrain as Sentinel with a new head. I'd like that. I can use the coal tender as a trailer 😁

I'd be down for that.

I've also got TF:One Studio Series Sentinel Prime on preorder to fill in as Nominus Prime in my collection.
Yep, same.
Plus I can keep the Prime Changers TFO Sentinel to represent that version of the character on the Sentinel shelf. It's a great little figure that has no right being as good as it is so I'm happy my collector OCD can work in a way to have both on display 🤣

He also was one of the candidates on the POTP fan poll.

The Leader class gimmick of POTP was smaller bots upgrading to super robot modes, which in theory Thunderwing could have pulled off with his inner robot being the small bot and his Mega Pretender shell being the super robot mode.

It's still hilarious to me that they did Powermaster Optimus the year before they rolled out a Leader gimmick perfect for him.

They admitted that that was a mistake in hindsight, as they decided to do PM Prime for the 1986-1988 themed TR before they decided on what the POTP Leader class gimmick would be. In retrospect, had they had the foresight, they would have saved PM Prime for POTP instead.
