The centre mass of the new Vortex doesn't have anything exciting going on, and when I configured it to a CW style arm mode for funsies, it made me wish there was a combiner block in there instead.
Or, more so wishing that Hasbro had more budget to work with ten years ago. The base design of this figure could have worked back then... give or take.

More like G1 Prime toy crawled so that others could soar, such as the ER/Kingdom/SG/Netflix mould, for me, that is the peek of what OP could be with the G1 look and the 86 figure is still a child whose yet to have their repaint potential unleashed!

Stickered-up Laser Optimus Prime. Partially Toyhax, partially the original stickers.
Now that I've done it - and now that I'm playing around a little with restoring/touching up some of my older figures - it's temping to buy that set again, so that I can take them off, tighten up his joints, and put new ones on. His shoulders sag a little bit and those stickers cover up the only access points for those joints that I know of.
