I don't think I've seen them together before, but I guess it's kinda nice that Trypticon, Predaking, and Devastator are in their Zone scale.

Also man, early CHUG had such charm to it. I'm oddly more flexible in paring down G1 Remakes Batch 1 from CHUG and replacing it with the 2010s-2020s trilogies stuff than I am with letting go of early CHUG, especially Unicron Trilogy redecos and repurposings. Of course, I'm not longing for a return to those days, necessarily.
There's just something nostalgic and interesting about the "Earth 2", "close enough" homaging that we had to be content with for so long that just isn't all that necessary these days when almost everyone gets to have a sculpt at least partly dedicated to them. (The closest thing is probably the less effective mold-sharing ones like Elita/Minerva/Strongarm or Shadow Striker/Side Burn). Plus just the neatness of seeing the classic color schemes on entirely new designs, like that Universe 2.0 Dirge or the Classics Devastator.
Classics Megatron is a fascinating piece that has, for various reasons, remained unique (I was surprised to see the mold pop back up for Platinum). Even at the time it was a shock, and to this day it's still the last mainline (excepting the Legion class one and the MPs) gun mode Megs, and a pretty nice one at that.

Back at TFCon Chicago '23, I picked up the Japanese exclusive Gaia Unicron, missing some stickers and the spark crystals (?) on flap for 'armor' mode. That last bit bugged me. Few times I looked for the crystals and stickers I only found prices close to what I paid for Unicron.
Then last week I somehow I thought to look up Gaia Unicrons and found a set with everything (EVERYTHING) that wasn't included with mine:
Crystals,
Stickers,
Instructions (transformation and sticker application),
Separate instructions for the minicon,
Cross-sell pamphlet,
and a piece of paper I assume is a correction notice,
Tax and shipping all for less than $20!
Mine did have some stickers applied, I assume the previous owner prioritized the main 'robot' and not the half-assed armor mode or quarter-assed 'vehicle' mode.
Anyway, it arrived today and went straight to doing the whole crystal bit.
Then last week I somehow I thought to look up Gaia Unicrons and found a set with everything (EVERYTHING) that wasn't included with mine:

I'm struggling to remember where mine is stored (from that move a decade or so ago) and whether the crystal bits were with the main robot (in which case they're in a separate accessory box) or in the same baggie as the micron (in which case they're still there wherever the micron is stored).
I still need to put the stickers and stuff on my Gaia Unicron. He's sitting in a crate with several other projects I haven't finished, which is right next to my stack of unassembled model kits and uninstalled console mods.
I actually am making some progress on them recently, but it's going sooooooooo slowly.

I'm like that with my Lego projects, one I'm just not in the mood to do, while my other two are on hold as I'm waitting for bricks from Lego themselves, but because part of what I ordered is not in stock, they got to back order and its taking ages, I ordered back on the 9th of Feb this year and two months on, they still haven't arrived or dispatched from Lego UK HQ, so the models they are intended for, well the majorty, are just sat around gathering dust and I plan to add lights which I already got but I just need the bricks!
