Not a Christmas haul, but the whole of everything I got throughout 2023. It seems fitting that the year was bookended by those little goobers in front. I think they were definitely highlights for being such an upgrade over the last iterations we got in Siege. I'm not liking the continued trend...

A few labels and a little paint for the head/tail lights and Ratchet looks so much better! I don't think I'm going to do any additions or touchups to the robot mode. At least not yet.

I just realized that a SS86 Optimus is going to have that post S1 head design that I'm not quite as keen on. That said, I'll echo what others have said about ER Prime being great but not without flaws. So this definitely has piqued my interest.

I do wish the SS86 vans leaned harder into that vehicle accuracy aesthetic that Earthrise had done. For all their flaws, the ER vans kinda nailed the "early to mid-80's Japanese van" look (well, the front end and general silhouette) better than the new ones do. I haven't had the draw to put...

People over on TFW are apparently removing the pin enough to remove those guns...and the pins in question are not too difficult...?

So...why are Starscream's Decepticon insignia red?

The big appeal for me would be ER Megatron, as I never got/saw one. I wish Shockwave was a lighter purple, and I already have Netflix Soundwave, and the throne, so that greatly limits the overall appeal to me.

Having the vehicle front end being upside down in robot mode feels like one of those design traits that could stand to be done more.

Yeah, Starscream. Whoops! Well, I meant more as a Generations Selects retool down the way. I mean, it's not entirely unprecedented - see Cog, Six-Gun and Slammer (who specifically had a callout to Metroplex).

Building a Victory collection may be a dead end street for me, thanks to the Haslabs, but Liokaiser will always be a favourite of mine. I only recently learned that you can finagle sideways legs and a (somewhat dodgy) ankle tilt, which helps change up the silhouette.
