Concepts and Character arcs to fold into a rebooted G1.

Wildwheel from Cyberverse. He was aboard the Ark when it went down, but they couldn't account for him after everyone woke up. Then have him show up much later and reveal his whole side-story. Shatter and Dropkick, just to give us more Decepticons (ooh, maybe have them turn up midway through the...

    November 11th 1999

I can't even remember when I joined (the early 2000s are a bit of a blur for me, what with college and uni and desperately looking for employment), but I'm glad I found this place.

The 2024 Us Presidential Election Thread

Now that it's the weekend and I'm allowed to have my own thoughts. Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion 10/27 Update: First look at Megatronus the Fallen

That's kind-of what's happened in my (by now somewhat convoluted) fanverse: Rodimus Prime received the Matrix, whiffed it, then handed the reigns back to Optimus when he came back. Hot Rod is left with the sense that he's not worthy, and could never be as great a leader as Optimus. Decades...

Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion 10/27 Update: First look at Megatronus the Fallen

I mean, I can see some complaints that Rodimus is basically Bumblebee (or maybe a Bumblebee/Jazz fusion), and that he came out of nowhere rather than using the kid-appeal character who was already right there.

Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion 10/27 Update: First look at Megatronus the Fallen

This is why I like them as prototypes/test-types; loaded down with features and capabilities that got budgeted out of the "production models."

    Transformers One Spoiler Discussion

I've always favoured a more abstract translation. Cybertronian name: *high-pitched digital tone* Literal translation: Syncopated rhythm arising from apparent chaos "Fixed" translation: Jazz Cybertronian name: *modulating digital beeps* Literal translation: Hunter tracking prey through shadows...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

True, but Cobra-plus-obsession-with-transforming-tech kinda leads inevitably to Venom. I know Cobra loved their sci-fi superweapons, but they always struck me as the more "analogue" terrorists, just with fancy-yet-ultimately-conventional gear.
