    Transformers Legacy toyline

Yeah, it was the US comic, but we got the US stories reprinted (with a delay). The story was published March 1986 in the Marvel US comic, and July/August 1986 here in the UK comic. I definitely noticed the similarity with Galvatron at the time, as the action figure was creeping into retail here...

I like that Starscream deco. We need more Starscreams in “Champion Edition” alt colour schemes, really. My favourite is Takara’s release of the G1 toy in Machine Wars Starscream’s colours, released sometime at the turn of the century.

UK politics thread – meet the new boss, same as the old boss

Depressingly, it probably shows what non-white British people have to do (or feel that they have to do) in order to be accepted as senior politicians in this country. A policy that a decade ago would merely be the brain-fart of the BNP, UKIP or any other fringe far-right party.

    Depressing Beast Wars question

Oh, it seems that yesterday (22nd) was the 28th anniversary of the Beast Wars pilot airing in the States. Doesn’t that make you feel old? (I saw both parts of the pilot in August ‘96 at the fan meeting, which was held in the old-style “cram 20 people into someone’s living room” format. I...

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-68871847.amp Government got its crazy “send immigrants to a prison camp in Rwanda at the cost of hundreds of millions of Pounds” law passed. They even struck down an amendment exempting from deportation the Afghans who assisted the British military.

Hang on, here's a thought... The Infernac Universe figures... They're basically TransTech, but rock-based vehicles instead of animal-based vehicles? (I half wonder if TransTech characters would've been appearing in Legacy next year were Legacy not being replaced by the Swapticons range. Possibly.)

Well, yes, and also the fact that the Tories have diverged from EU/EEA laws that we’d have to conform to. Although that aspect could still be reversed if it needed to be, given we haven’t been out ‘fully’ since the end of 2021. I think we will end up “back in” somehow, even if just the European...

    Ranting about quebec: newspark edition!

Hah, that’s like when Tories here publicly float the idea of banning under-16s (or under-18s) from social media. Completely unenforceable without creating the most authoritarian surveillance state in world history.

    Depressing Beast Wars question

Anyway, visuals aside, I still like Beast Wars! Visuals aside, the ‘tude of some of the characters and the music is fairly datedly ‘90s, but that’s over a quarter of a century ago now. (I can’t wait to open my Legacy United BW Silverbolt once it arrives.)
