Aren't the resculpted fists the ones from the Takara reissue?
Hot Rod being magenta is kind of neat, but I generally hate the trend of making things "animated" by turning them jive grey instead of silver. Like that is how you draw chrome, it is not supposed to be pale grey.
They don't need to create an entirely new mold, just the white sprue and the clear sprue. And they have done this in the line, multiple times.
But yes, they absolutely needed to do an entire new white sprue. It looks awful.
That looks terrible.
A third party will have to replace two thirds of the shell and the spoiler to make it work, which they are unlikely do to.
What a mess.
My point is that it's a test shot (as it has test shot markings on it), not a retail figure, that has been sent out to reviewers, which Aaron Archer claimed didn't happen.
I'm not trying to say that Hasbro are providing review copies to PVP - PVP declared that his Robosen trailer was from them...
I note that that thing which does not happen has once again happened. https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/09/21/transformers-shattered-glass-flamewar-fireglide-in-hand-images-465735
I think more people would have been in to Magenta Rod tbh. I'm kind of surprised they didn't do a blue version as Sideburn given the nature of the line but there you go.
FWIW Aaron Archer was completely unaware Hasbro's international divisions frequently gave test shots to retailers etc even during the Armada days when he worked there, and that was absolutely a thing.
I'm not saying he is deliberately lying, but bluntly Hasbro is a very disorganised company...
They did, but said it doesn't quite work right yet and needs another pass.
I would probably do this - the skull doesn't work as it is, so at least if you can think of it as the inner robot then there's some value in the toy.
It was pretty neat of the team to create new artwork to illustrate the scenes using the early design sketches. Neat.
Does this script pre-date or post date the Secret of Cybertron script (the one with Optimus transforming Cybertron into a giant robot)? Before the cartoon airs puts it very...
There's not really a suitable toy to do that with however. Yes, it's possible that it could be a big reshell, but that I'd be surprised if we're getting another one in this line and it was being used on a relatively low profile character.
I'm sure they will reflect the "built out of parts"...
