Yeah, like there are things about him I like - his alt mode is a little bit more coherent but still feels consistent, and the worker mode is definitely better.
But he also loses his wheel turning into the axe, which is literally the only thing he does in the show, he's got no integration with...
The notion that being an IP orientated company requires you to own an in-house production studio is a curious one and not really how it works, and Hasbro do own an in-house production studio anyway in E-One, but mergers take two years to start to be operationally effective.
Not really, Hasbro corporate also made a number of similar statements when they acquired Entertainment One. The line is significantly wider than just the TF team.
If nothing else, if these are the G1 versions of Bulkhead et al then who are they? What are they doing? Why weren't they on the Ark, and why are they on Earth now? What are their abilities?
These are interesting things to put in a bio, if it's longer than one sentence, and that's why the online...
Jhiaxus looked really cool. Some of the engineering touches on Motormaster are neat (but painted windows are really inexcusable). Knock-out and Tarantulus are neat. Elita looks awful. Eesh.
Making Soundwave a release of the Siege toy rather than the Earthrise one would feel pretty insulting if...
It looks okay, but painted windows is a bit of a joke on a Commander price point toy that is around leader size.
Also a bit of a shame the waist is so thin, given the one obvious advantage of this skeleton set up was that you didn't need to have a tiny thin waist.

Wildrider reveal (and an official Blitzwing).
Wildrider looks okay but that's quite the kibble pile at the back that doesn't fold up very elegantly.
The weird thing about the stupid tank cockpit is that they're not even going for slavishly cartoon accurate, because if they were they wouldn't have gone for a more modern turret design.
TBF it depends on how desperate Hasbro are to do him given he didn't make the cut for Kingdom and he doesn't appear to be in any Legacy lists any time soon. The "rules" for what qualifies are probably a lot more arbitrary to Hasbro depending on what is convenient at the time.
Astrotrain got a Siege toy. They're clearly considered to be complementary lines, which is why Cyclonus was in Kingdom and Scourge was in SS86.
Astrotrain's toy isn't very good but it exists, and it doesn't appear it was a huge seller or an exclusive, which is the only circumstance I can see...
Yes, though at least James Roberts put out that Medium post a couple of weeks ago that was effectively the script for the last volume - https://medium.com/@jamesroberts_96602/transformers-uk-the-comic-that-nearly-cheated-death-9ac69e7578d2
(And it's quite interesting, added to my understanding...
I guess it does depend on if you regard "continues to exist" as a benefit to customers - Comixology at the time lost money (indeed, for sales through their iOS app Apple charged Comixology more than their margin on most books, so they were losing money on every sale and hoping to make it up...
Comixology posted a small Twitter thread about the changes today. It was sort of a grudging acknowledgement there are issues, but without any meaningful promises of improvement or genuine apology.
None of them are retools as such but more "use the same CAD files as the basis of the engineering", but JP93 is a rework of the Earthrise Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen mold.
That works for me. It's a bit of a weird one that after all the various crossover comics there's not actually a design for Megatron as a Hiss Tank, but I guess it will probably look like the Optimus or Ironhide designs painted silver and black anyway.
