Yes, it definitely was. It could also have been some light-sensitive color changing plastic effect, similar to what G.I. Joe used for Zartan, Zarana, etc. Would have made the whole "solar" thing make more sense.

She looks good. I don't have any connection to her (or the other Headmaster Juniors, for that matter), so it doesn't bother me that she's not a Headmaster. I would pick this up if I saw it in the store, but it's not something that I feel the need to go out of my way to get.

Yeah, these are right up my alley. Preordered all but the non-transforming TV dude, and I'm looking most forward to Snacky Shark and Burgerdozer.

I dig the A.W.E. Striker Bumblebee crossover quite a bit so I preordered. Would love to have taken advantage of my Pulse membership and preordered directly through them, but they were sold out, so I went with Amazon instead.

Interesting discussion. I've been collecting for a long, long time and I go back and forth between favoring the relative simplicity of the G1 era the most, and favoring more modern designs and engineering. Ultimately though, for me, the decision to buy or not buy a new Transformer hinges on...

Takara's Legends release is still the winner, IMO. SS86 just looks like a quick Frankensteining of the two, and it shows.

He looks very nice and I'm sure that he will look great among his fellow G1 MP teammates. However, I still can't shake the feeling that Trailbreaker should have been given the MP treatment 10 years ago. Better late than never, I suppose but as Dake mentioned, he's had 3P options for years now.

I am glad for those that like him but this really doesn't do much for me; no connection to the toy or character whatsoever. I passed on the original 16 years ago and I'll be passing on this.

Yep, and it is / was a great toy. However, a Rattler that is scaled for 3 & 3/4 Joes that can transform into Soundwave would be awesome.

After Bumblebee, I vote for a Soundwave Rattler.

I actually like it quite a bit. It's not perfect, but it does look fun. Preordered.

I'm not so sure that I have a grail anymore. A few years ago, I was able to get a G1 Overlord on a trip to Japan, and he was kind of the one toy that I pined for for years. I still love it a lot though, and I think that it is a pretty fantastic G1 toy in general. I don't know how random...

Junkyard, Spike, Sludge and vintage BW Tigatron looked really good. Nothing particularly earth shattering today, but it was nice to hear from the team and see some of the upcoming releases.
