I think the Holiday Optimus mold and it's future G1-ish repaints may be sort of like that. It doesn't follow the 'usual' style but is still definitely Prime.
This is interesting. A Godzilla toy, eight inch, done like a stop-motion puppet, with a rubber body over an armature. So it's basically a miniaturized Godzilla suit done shelf-size. I'm tempted, except I know how well seamless rubber action figures age (they don't). Even the official suits...
It's been fewer and further between honestly. Especially since more and more I have to take out the nail polish/sandpaper to make the figure actually work right. It's frustrating. But I did get that with Star Saber. Partially because a friend got it for me, I'd otherwise have never tried due...
Now, now, let's be mature here...I believe the correct anatomical term for that part of the body, according to 'Bio-Booster Armor Guyver', is "Mega-Smasher".
I'd never have expected that. I think a while back the first War For Cybertron Deluxe Optimus had some exposure because it supposedly had little to no metal, but the fact that they'd to make any metal 'all pins' now is even weirder to me, since it makes it nearly impossible to adjust or...
Well, seven inch, anyway. Ultimates are in a weird area for scale. Weirder for some than others, Ren and Stimpy were functionally enormous, so were Pinky and the Brain, unless you just consider those two to be 'life size', then they make sense.
I was going to get a mini-Ratchet and turn him into Fixit, but then Deathsaurus happened, so now I will have Fixit anyway, albeit in the MOST EXPENSIVE way possible...that's also why I'm skipping quite a bit of things, really. But the Dinobots look awesome, and I do wonder how likely a box set...
I've only briefly held a friend's Pointblank, how does he compare with the old deluxe Cyclonus and Nightstick? It's the only G1 Targetmaster remake I have.
And this is off-topic NOW, but I figure it's only a matter of time before I can replace the lamp with a transforming Signal Lancer...
I gave up on the whole 'have to do X because they did X' years ago. I still have the Ultra electronic Onslaught. Great incredibly solid if somewhat boring toy, though I outfitted mine with the HeadRobots Butcher set and that wound up awesome.
...in MY day, 3rd parties made UPGRADES, not...
I heard of it but I hadn't seen it yet either. I hope they might make a Kerwyn, Sventoonie, and Toonie in that line, as those are characters that ReAction would work really well for.
Ok, not Transformers, but seriously, these figures being functionally 'life size' is going to make for a lot of possibilities, especially if I pose them with Transformers toys AS toys...
