Further investigations by the leakers have brought to light the possibility of that listing not actually being an actual Headmaster toy, but rather a "Headmasters Universe Autobot Pointblank" retool of Legacy Pointblank, with a new toy-accurate/Headmasters cartoon-accurate head.

While I don't think that's impossible, or even unlikely, it does seem like an odd decision. Were people really clamoring for multiple versions of Pointblank? I mean, I did buy one, but I definitely wouldn't be in the market for a second one. Just doesn't seem like the kind character that can pull that off.

I get the feeling that such a release would be the like the "Take 2" Buzzworthy Bumblebee releases of Kup and Cliffjumper. Somebody at Hasbro probably wasn't happy with the first release and really wanted to get it right.

Could be. Of course, if I was going to change something about that mold, it would be the arms, not the head.

If such a thing were to come about, I wonder what the odds of Peacemaker getting a Battlemaster upgrade would be?
(Also, as someone that really liked the G1 figure, I'd feel quite compelled to get a redo with the right head...ugh...)

I've only briefly held a friend's Pointblank, how does he compare with the old deluxe Cyclonus and Nightstick? It's the only G1 Targetmaster remake I have.

And this is off-topic NOW, but I figure it's only a matter of time before I can replace the lamp with a transforming Signal Lancer...

Magna Jet Optimus and TIDAL WAAAAAAAVE

I should point out Optimus was 'Super Class' but more like a Maxcon figure with a trailer, Tidal Wave and Jetfire were 'Gigacons' or Ultra Class, Tidal Wave dwarfed both Jetfire and Megatron of that class, Overload was 'Maxcon' equal to a Mega and bulkier then any Voyager beyond 2008., Tidal Wave lacked electronics and the version here is Taraka Micron Shockwave which IMO looked better then his Aramda counterpart though could have done without that orange.

Just in anticipation of the upcoming Commander class toy, also I'm hopeful for Armada Megatron and Commander Tidal Wave, doesn't bother me if they combine because their combination was pretty naff.

Aaron Archer has a podcast on YouTube. He has spent a lot of time on there talking about Tidal Wave / Shockwave. It’s a very interesting listen if you’re a fan of Armada. Or interested in how toys come to be.

I’m 100% jelly of you and anybody else who has that Magnus. I remember when Energon came out I called 6 or 7 Toys R Us trying to find a Scorponok. Never once did I ask about Magnus. Never saw him in store. He still goes for $100+ on eBay.

I bought him at Woolworths with a Space Mini-Con team redeco when I saw him, oddly he was sold as 'ultra class' because he either included them or a redeco of the Street Speed Team. He and Overload were just unfortunately bricks but they did look nice, they'd probably make a good weaponizer.

Sadly, those Street Speed Team redecos never saw release.

I absolutely love this figure, had to get the paint brush out right away, though. A little more difficult to touch-up, when you can't unscrew any of it. Everyone bashes on the lion face, but the real atrocity is the unpainted lower abs.

That is right, not a single screw on the whole figure. Fist time I have seen this.
