Yeah, that sounds extremely fishy. Body parts are still having random supply issues (we were on a 6-month waiting list for my wife's car's headlights) but every legitimate body shop I deal with knows when a part is backorder and can at least tell the customer what the approximate waiting time...
Yikes! Unless they are waiting on a part (which could happen, but they should have told you that was what was going on), that seems extremely long. What did it go in for?
That is...weird. I do think this Wheeljack is going to get painted by customizers a lot, though. Brains from Thunderbirds is a great fit for the head, Fillmore from Cars, the Mystery Machine, there's just a lot of really neat recolor ideas a person could do with it to spice up the tan and brown...
So I picked up my first RotB figures, the Beast Alliance weapon dudes, can't wait to get these out and play with them! But, I'm wondering if these figures would be available for redecos in something like Generations Selects? They wouldn't have the vehicular licensing issues of the regular movie...
Yeah, for all the reasons people are giving, I don't see a need to back this. The 86 movie is fine as it is; its not high art, but it's a decent film in its own right. No reason to "improve" it.
I think of that set as Ultimates Nickel with Tarn accessory. It's the only reason I still have it on preorder.
I'm going to say Beet Papil, as an unreleased figure from the Beetras line that became the Deluxe Insecticons that Hasbro hasn't finished a set of since the originals, that one strikes...
I think Bumblebee could do what it did because it didn't have to lay the groundwork of world-building; the first live-action movie did that. It's still the one I enjoy the most as a complete film, but I do recognize that it's standing on the shoulders of the previous films.
Honestly, after the first few minutes of the first movie, the introduction of Blackout, I feel like it was mostly downhill from there. There were still moments here and there in all the films that I enjoyed, but until Bumblebee, I don't think I ever really liked the live action films as complete...
I have the tan Megatron Knockoff and the gunmetal Jetfire! I thought Galaxy Defender was a Walmart packaging of Happywell product, though, cause I would swear the Jetfire was a Galaxy Defender offering.

I love that this is a thing, I'm just sad it's a thing I can't afford right now...
