Not the best account name either - I keep wanting to read that account name as Desanti-scams.

Slowly turning up the screws on anyone still trying to do business on the platform without subscribing. Yeah, they can still contact them off-site but it adds a layer of inconvienience that could turn away some customers(as there are apparently still some around given those artists haven't ALL...

Look up ProgressQuest. It's all about the dopamine hit of the "ding" and feeling like you accomplished something regardless of your efforts. For some people that's all they need.

Post Pictures of your Transformers, Let's see 40 years worth of Transformers!

I'm good with my MP Magnus, as that's essentially what this is, but good that like Bumblebee there's a MP-lite now for people who didn't get him back then or don't want to pay MP prices.

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

This seems to be the crux of the disagreement here(setting aside the "what we know vs what the characters know" arguments). From a certain point of view, your description applies to humans - we feed on massive amounts of organic life, and (current) humanity so far shows tendencies to strip-mine...

On the wings of a dragon - Dekafox's excuse to post art

A piece I'd been searching for an artist for nearly a year is now complete. After Lunaria passed, the werewolf community in the town all pitched in to have this stained glass window made to honor her, and a reminder of what they can be if they have the will. The one point I've not decided on...

    Superheroes

Kyle Rayner was the only Green Lantern who ever really interested me because he actually had the imagination to really USE the ring. For one thing, he was a comic artist in his day job, so his entire job was imagining and creating things. (Setting his own schedule also makes things much easier...

    Hollywood is on Strike

Tree Law is blood in the water for lawyers. It's something you do NOT mess with, typically. Like jsut the twelve trees in that first pic is a $250k fine alone, at least. If it gives you any idea, they had to ban the use of the term on Reddit from all the lawyers that would dogpile onto Tree Law...

    Star Trek General Discussion

There's also the issue of manual backups if the computer gets compromised - when you have things running around like the "Living Machine" virus from Prodigy and the Iconian virus weapons, it doesn't hurt to have an entity around who's not affected by those and can kick off reboots or purges, or...

    Star Trek General Discussion

Like Wonko said, most of the time when they're stealing an Enterprise, all they need is to get from point A to point B for a relatively short amount of time, typically in an emergency, and don't need much more than that and/or short term combat capability. You only need a limited number of...

G1 Transformers Size, Power, and Mass

The twist was that any of the Seacons could be the targetmaster gun of the gestalt, combining the targetmaster idea with that of Scramble City gestalts - so where any smaller bot could be a limb, any of the smaller Seacons could also be the gun instead. There was never an Autobot counterpart...

Oh, the Saudian investors probably don't care, or might even be happy about it. It gives them leverage over Musk, after all.

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

I brought up the Horta situation because it's another example of a non-Carbon-based lifeform that no one expected to be intelligent until Spock did his thing. That's the thing about the ideals of the TNG-era(at least) Federation in general, and Picard's command style in specific - you try the...

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

That leaves out the context of the episode. At the time Picard and co first meet the CE, they don't KNOW that it's not a sapient being. Hence why they try to make contact etc, to make sure they don't kill it because of a misunderstanding. After all, look how the Horta situation turned out in TOS.

    Star Trek General Discussion

Remember that high security prison I mentioned from The 2800 in STO? That's exactly what they do. All the security guards are holographic, with emitters all over the facility. You sort of see something similar with that Daystrom facility in Picard S3 too. The key to remember is mobile emitters...
