The feet are awkward as Super Ginrai and don't even attach to the Godbomber parts very well. I have no idea why they were designed that way. The wings sit too high and look doofy.
Otherwise, it's decent; just not worth the LG Ginrai+Godbomber prices or buying $200 of unrelated toys+Godbomber...
It’s not a terrible mold as the PMOP version but not having the smaller robot mode is a pretty big strike against it and the post hoc engineering for God Ginrai shows how much the base mold simply wasn’t designed for it.
Powermaster Prime was screwed over by being made smackdab in the middle of TR. Unfortunately, that means as far as HasTak is concerned, they've ticked that box already and I wouldn't expect one anytime soon.
Officially, definitely. This one is still my #1 for the sheer amount of reshaping there...
As long as they make a self-contained robot and a vehicle it could work, with the Powerlinx form being an easter egg in the instructions or online. Kind of like what they did with Battletrap or the Fossilizer combiner
They should just make dedicated tops/bottoms. The interchangeability is kinda cool but it results in some kibble-tastic powerlinx modes. It'd also be cool to have some kind of combining weapons or powerlinx mode heads so that the end result isn't just tall Hot Shot with red pants.
Their engineering is subpar, made all the more glaring by their insistence on making gigantic toys.
i had their RID Scourge. The forearms were sitting on the sides in plain sight. Sure the original had the same but this was a significantly larger toy made 20 years after
I really don't care for the wings being the gummy semi-transparent stuff. Not terrible but fully transparent would have been much better.
Imagine getting so thoroughly outclassed by the $80 toy aside from like, slightly less blocky shoulderpads.
Also saw a combining Gurren Lagann while I was at the store to pick this guy up but the combination of non-canon, the secondary Ganmen being kinda lame and the core gurren Lagann looking kinda crappy turned me away.
It also gives me vibes of those questionable Toy Story combiners.
Only the first combination is a headmaster. After that the robots just traditionally pilot the next bigger robots like some kind of hugged up russian doll until the last two forms, then who knows what the hell's going on there.
Also, this thing is just about perfect all around, aside from the...
