  1. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Core Voyager Optimus Prime and Rhinox have been spotted overseas! https://news.tfw2005.com/2023/02/04/first-look-at-transformers-rise-of-the-beasts-mainline-voyager-rhinox-and-optimus-prime-475075 Both seem to share engineering with prior releases (BB Movie Prime and Kingdom Rhinox...
  2. Studio Series discussion

Entertainment Earth is teasing an interesting drop on February 21, here's the hint: "Everything old is new again, the more things change the more they stay the same and something or another about the late Thag Simmons" Almost a guarantee that we'll be seeing a reveal for Studio Series Snarl...
  3. Generations Selects Appreciation Thread

Because I saw this front-paged at TFW... Entertainment Earth has a "Drop Zone" page which details when companies are planning to offer toys for preorder. JtPrime didn't find any sort of "secret listing". https://www.entertainmentearth.com/drop-zone Speculation is the February 28th drop will be...
  4. G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

Today was “GI joe Day”, I guess. In addition to the Skystriker unboxing, Hasbro revealed some production renders for some upcoming Classified products. Tele viper with Flight Pod (aka, Trubble Bubble). Hasbro took a novel approach here by covering the character’s arms, leaving the ethnicity...
  5. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

If nothing else, Battletrap‘s Studio Series box positions him as a Decepticon. And if we get flashbacks in the film, I’d be SHOCKED if the seeker design from TF6 doesn’t reappear. There were…rumblings…a couple years back when first details were being leaked about Predacons, but really nothing...
  6. Does anyone have any idea of when it is most likely we will find out who the new Transformers comic publisher and why it has not happened yet?

At this point, I’d almost hazard that Hasbro is holding back any reveals of a new comic licensee until later in the year so that the new comics would come out next year to compliment the 40th anniversary. Got to use that marketing synergy to its fullest, y’know.
  7. Tightening The Belt At Hasbro

FWIW, McFarlane cut prices for the 2023 non-BAF, non-Page Punchers DC figures to $19.99. And from what I read, freight costs are down to below what they were pre-pandemic. I have also stated in the past the view that Hasbro "over stepped" on the price increases to give them a buffer on...
  8. Transformers Legacy toyline

What?! I, literally, just got Tarn. Hasbro laughs at our attempts to budget... In seriousness, I get the feeling Hasbro's rushing out some of this stuff to get them in the retail system before the focus on Rise of the Beasts for the next several months. I'm suspecting we might not see wave...
  9. Transformers: EarthSpark

    And he looks VERY Transmetaly....
  10. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Studio Series is about accuracy, not fun! (j/k) I think it really helps that the film has a far more robust cast than the Bumblebee film, and we're seeing some nifty stuff. I think the “Beast Alliance“ angle is, maybe, a bit less ambitious than the Energon Igniters from Bumblebee, I think...
  11. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

CNET got to reveal the transforming Optimus Prime blaster, the transforming masks…and REintroduce the Smash Changer Optimus Prime. https://www.cnet.com/culture/entertainment/transformers-nerf-collaboration-toy-transforms-optimus-into-a-blaster/ Comicbook.com has revealed the “Beast Mode...
  12. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

I'm still on the fence about Scourge, simply on a budget issue. Also, I totally called Freezer being a "missing part" of a larger figure. He clearly "fills out" Scourge's truck mode, and turns into a larger weapon. Also, in the natural light of the livestream, Cheetor looked MUCH better...
  13. Tightening The Belt At Hasbro

Power Rangers already got an NFT Megazord, why not Transformers? :p I think "shelving" might be too strong a word. I DO think that, without Goldner's direction and drive, we're going to see Hasbro pull back on the "IP company" side of things...hopefully with a renewed focus on fundamentals...
  14. The DC...Extended Universe or Films or Whatever

James Gunn has released a hype package detailing the current slate of DC's new multimedia initiative
  15. Transformers Legacy toyline

Hasbro ran their Pulse stream, light on Rise of the Beasts (short "officially" revealing Scourge), but Generations got a good showing with all of wave 2, including some stuff we haven't seen! Core wave 2: Grimlock is chonky AF! Sludge was unsightly in robot mode, Grimlock got it in Dino mode...
  16. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

So, Hasbro’s surprises got spoiled again. Product images are out of Studio Series Scourge (showing a much improved truck mode compared to the leakers), orders will open up tomorrow after the livestream event...
  17. Transformers Legacy toyline

It has been commented on that Metalhawk may be incorporating a forward swept wing design similar to what the character had in the IDW comics. Would also let them get around citing him from a “Masterforce Universe”. I like what I see. It’s authentic to the anime, and Cyclonus was among the...
  18. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

I'd rather not given that's not going to happen. (Well, MAYBE Tigatron, but only as a repaint/retool of a Cheetor figure) Product lines, much less those tied to a film push, have gotten pretty lean these days. And with how large the cast appears to be (and there are probably still surprises...
  19. G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

We would have gotten ninjas and zombies (and zombie ninjas!).
