I can't see Armada Jetfire being any size class lower than a Leader, in order to incorporate his pants mode.

Why not just reissue the UW toy? Lotta folks (like me) missed out on that one.

If anything, some of the more complex ratchet joints could be further simplified into mere ball joints. And they could always hollow out the figure's arms and legs. ;)

I think all that could be given up from the original toy (short of removing any mode transformations) would be the projectile-launching sword blades. A new one would just have the blades and the hilts molded together as one piece. Other than that, the figure had no electronics or light-piping...
