Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

Agreeing with GB. You (Predaking) keep saying that we know that it's sentient and evil and can understand english just fine and is actively plotting against the humans. While true, NONE of the characters on the show know that. Not knowing that (yet, at least) is what makes Dr. Marr's killing...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Looks like a remold of the Conehead body. The wings now seem to be smaller and maybe mounted to the shoulders? Or maybe on a swing-up pivot like Dirge's canards.

    Transformers Legacy toyline

I'm guessing the new guns, blast effects, and minicon take him up to a Voyager? Also, from the art on the box front, it looks like they're using the Legacy Conehead mold for Armada Thrust. I don't have any attachment to Armada, but I will buy any seeker remolds/repaints they care to make.

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

Oh, I agree with the Jelico thing. His methods were different than Picard's, but that doesn't make him in any way wrong. Riker was used to a certain amount of back-and-forth discussion about ideas with Picard that Jelico had no interest in, and I think that was more on Riker than Jelico...

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

By "what was presented on the show," I had meant more "considering all the facts available to us" as opposed to "the bias of the emotional beats of the story." With the facts available to Dr. Marr and the crew at the time, killing the CE was vigilante murder, not a state-sponsored execution...

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

Actually, on Star Trek, I feel like the characters occasionally being wrong is a feature, not a bug. It's not (normally) an action show, or one with flawless superheros. The usual layout of a Star Trek show is a team of talented individuals, each with their own individual strengths and...

That Bumblebee mold is still amazing. I love the actual VW Netflix one, too, but the Classics was a work of art.

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

I've had some time to think about it, and in DataLore, what could Lore have possibly thought that the CE would do with the information that he (Lore) was impersonating Data? Was the entity supposed to call up and ask for him by name? Was the CE also supposed to be traveling under an alias? Was...

Robosen: G1 Grimlock Coming Late Fall 2023

I would happily take it off of their hands once they're done with it.

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

That is true. The DataLore episode had a few "early installment weirdness" bits to it, like the whole "shut up Wesley" scene, which was pretty out-of-character for Picard, and Data using a contraction at the end even though his inability to do so had been a major plot point earlier in the...

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

Really it comes down to the level of intelligence that the CE has. It may not be necessary to do any scouting or escorting. If the CE was an intelligent being, just one alien enough that it hadn't ever considered the possibility of it's food being sapient, then it may be able to avoid...

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

You and I survive by eating organic life. We all do. It's possible that the CE could be converted into a vegan, eating only non-intelligent organic life. Or it may even be possible to find a way to replicate the type of energy that the CE needs without eating actual life. Like others have...

Robosen: G1 Grimlock Coming Late Fall 2023

I could watch that Grimlock transform forever. It's beautiful. But that price is WAAAAYYY outside of my price range. Like, you can't even see that price with the most powerful telescopes from the upper end of my price range. That price has been described theoretically by physicists living...

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

One could easily imagine that humanoid life was so different from the Crystaline Entity that it didn't even recognize the planets it consumed as being populated. No one judges a whale for eating plankton, after all. There was the very real possibility that communication could have been...

G1 Transformers Size, Power, and Mass

This is America! We say our Z's like "zee" and we like it! Can you imagine trying to make Planet of the Apes, the Musical if the song went: "I hate every monkey that I see, from Chimpan-A to Champan-Zed." It just wouldn't work.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

I went in with low expectations, but I was actually pretty pleasantly surprised. I thought it was a perfectly cromulent Indiana Jones adventure. I wouldn't say I was blown away by it or anything, but it was solidly done and enjoyable, which is all I really wanted.

SDCC 2023 Transformers panels: Generations, Earthspark

Seems like that would be possible. The Masterpiece UM had all the super robot bits made out of the trailer, so a Commander Class could probably do the same. The cab could just stay a cab unless you wanted to transform it.
