Time to start looking for a dirt cheap Skids or Burnout for donor wheels.

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

That would be cool. TBH a boxier robot mode head and some add on teeth and a shoulder gun would get you 90% of the way to something that was sort of a blend of the shell and robot mode, ala Skullgrin, and look much less stupid than Skullgrin does.

I like that Cheetor too for the most part, the leg transformation is nice. The head is a little goofy but not terrible. And I absolutely do not give a jive about screen accuracy to movie material given the movie aesthetics are awful.

Honestly Thunderwing probably needs to be a Commander. But I agree, he's a major franchise character and hasn't had a new toy in far too long.

Interview with UK Celebrity Johnathan Ross and His TF/Microman Toy Collection)

The celebrity voices varied by region in Shrek 2 FWIW, the US ones are different to the UK ones (as were most other major countries). That was the joke. But yeah, cool videos, I knew Ross was a big toy collector but I never knew he was into Microman specifically, and that's probably the most...

They've already done that, so no laws need to change. But the bios were still one liners on the website.

I'll just be repurposing Prowl as a new character, but I like both of them.

That plastic isn't paintable (by Hasbro) but I have very (very) little sympathy that Hasbro couldn't have had a hole in that section of wing with a piece of red plastic there instead on a one off toy that cost nearly $200. Parts count restrictions and bad sprue layouts are not really acceptable...

    HasLab Deathsaurus

Just think, twenty years of Haslabs and we can maybe get the rest of the Micromaster teams sorted.

    He's pretty obviously a G1/2 pretool.

You know, I've not tested that enough yet to know. I'll try and have a look tomorrow.

    HasLab Victory Saber

Mine arrived, one floppy ear and a bit of dodgy chrome but otherwise he's not too bad. I regret to inform anyone looking forward to Holi and Fire that they are just flat out garbage. I can't transform Holi without his legs falling off. I can't transform Fire without his ladder falling off, his...

Most of them are arriving in the UK today. The Facebook groups are lighting up with QC issues. Oh dear. Missing brainmasters, scratches and badly applied chrome, very lose joints, ears not able to support their own weight etc etc.

But ultimately... that is what Galvatron looked like. He looks a bit better from other angles and posed, but he is exactly as stocky as those early images showed, and the vast majority of shipped units had the misassembled shoulders exactly as shown. If Hasbro fixes something on Victory Saber...

    HasLab Victory Saber

Also when was the last time Hasbro fixed a production issue before shipping the toy that showed up in an early review? The only thing close I can think of is that some of the samples of Ironhide only had one gun, and I'm not sure anyone thought that made a material difference to him. If...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Yup. There's some semblance of a cockpit too.
  17. The Phazer

    Transformers Legacy toyline

With Wave 3 of the deluxes in-hand, wow, these are... not great tbh. The tolerances are pretty awful on all of them, and bad material choices abound. It is very hard to understand how the factory samples of these got sent back and they were like "cool, ship this." Dead End's tabbing engineering...

I don't disagree with this, but that's why I didn't name them. Sadly, the truth is that budget cuts have rendered anything as good as Trypticon impossible at this point.
  19. The Phazer

Hasbro, Fix your damn panels or stop using them.

They keep showing factory test shots off in the reveal streams, so they definitely are. It's not a clear plastic issue, it's an issue that the factory pulls the sprue out of the mold tooling too quickly so it warps as it cools, and no QC is being done. Siege Astrotrain was the same, indeed, it...

I've never really understood this. Ark turns into a pretty convincing spaceship. That's literally one more thing than Fortress Maximus or Metroplex achieved with their phoned in transformations.
