Potential CW Sale and the end of the Arrowverse

Schwartz really does seem to be embarrassed by the network he now controls, doesn't he? The comments about broadcast vs. streaming wouldn't be an issue if it didn't mean actively killing the shows that they themselves say work for streaming without making allowances for them to actually exist...

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

Did he? I don't recall any tech. I *do* recall two "parents" who were clearly ephemeral beings.

    Star Trek: Picard

I really don't know why this is so hard to understand. Lower Decks is canon. The Luna-class Titan is canon. End of story (Blue text is used to designate humor/sarcasm/not-being-serious on other boards. I was having a bit of fun with Predaking's suggestion, largely because I agree with it!)

    Star Trek: Picard

Were you responding to me? Do I need to use blue text on this forum, too? The original Titan, as seen in Lower Decks (which did indeed originate in novel canon) is very much canon now (and has been since Lower Decks showed it). I'll hear no arguments to the contrary.

    Transformers Legacy toyline

I'm not quite in this place, but with the IDW continuity already in the rear-view mirror, I do find it harder to care about these homages.

My position, as well. I already have a Miner Megatron and a Senator Ratbat that are good enough. Or, to put it another way, these aren't enough better than the ones I already have to make it worth my while to spend the money on these all-new figures. For those who don't have the earlier...

    Star Trek: Picard

What? Using an element from the now-defunct novel canon? Can't have that! ;)

    Star Trek General Discussion

Broadly, this is my position, as well, but I do concede that a theatrical release is "video," despite the fact that (whatever else "direct to video" means) this is the venue specifically intended to be excluded by the phrase.

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

If I'm remembering the comic adaptation correctly, there was a nice line about the fact that Sha-Ka-Rhee's "barrier" seemed more suited to keep the entity (whatever it was) in, rather than to keep others out, and that this implied the existence of a higher power (nicely vague. Connected with the...

You know, I've never even considered this as a suggestion, but it would make a world of difference to me if they gave the option of just ordering, say, 1 sheet out of a 2-sheet set.

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Sounds about right... I do still buy from Toyhax once in a blue moon, but this kind of thing is a large part of why I seldom do.

I was always surprised that they managed to rebuild the Ark in the Marvel comic book and took it to space again.

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

Interesting that you mention Star Wars. I actually had it in mind to comment on how the original trilogy (when Lucas had to share creative control with others) tends to be considered far superior to what came with the prequel trilogy (which was almost all Lucas). So, no, while the creator...

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

Agreed 100%. Whatever one might say about the more recent efforts, Trek really got good after Roddenberry's involvement was dramatically lessened.

    Star Trek: Picard

Seems to me that's exactly why you don't. The temptation to do something... unwise... with all that cosmic power is just too great, especially when it involves those you love.

    Star Trek: Picard

If we really HAD to reconcile it, I'm sure we could say something like, "he got one opportunity to go back and see folks, explaining that he would never be able to do so again (and why). He chose the timing of Riker's and Troi's wedding to do so." This would also be consistent with Dr. Crusher's...

The Mandalorian - streaming on Disney+

    This is the way.

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I'm thinking it was the latter. I'm certainly not aware of any canon suggesting Kirk was on the Enterprise prior to being captain, and had thought that it was established in The Menagerie that he didn't really know Pike.

I will certainly concede that the direction of those movies made it look like it took no time at all to travel between distant star systems....
